Ok M I got a question, once you got all your tests and info back to the doc how long did it take to get your consult????? HMMM???/ HOW LONG???

Well, once Crystal opens the envelope...that will be about it. LOL Did you overnight them? Well, whenever it is supposed to be there, I would call and make sure she got the papers. Then ask her when you should call back to make your appointment. It could be that day or it could be in a week. Mine didn't go in the order yours did. I put in my packet THEN did my Upper GI/GB U/S. When those results were in, I made my appointment. So I am not 100% sure how she would work it. Just call and ask her. She'll tell ya! GL Your favorite Biscuit

hey Linda, after speaking to a couple surgeons and my brother talking to the surgeons at his hospital, we have decided that due to my hernia I am at a higher risk for it not working and they all recommend me doing the RNY, of course the surgeon I am going too does both so I will get his opinion also but since public aid will only pay for one I have to do what will last, if the band slips they will not pay for the RNY later. So I had to make a decision ...

sorry to hear you can't have the band but i'm glad you're still gonna do the RNY. i know the band isn't for everyone. i have a hiatal hernia too but not bad and i didn't even know i had one till the preop endoscopy. wish you the bestest on any WLS you do.

According to my Upper GI mine is VERY LARGE SLIDING hiatal hernia, whatever the sliding means...
