DENIED by BCBS of IL (PPO) HELP!!!

I'm going through the same thing your going through with BCBS Of IL. I hired a lawyer and had him send an appeal on my behalf. Sit down and listen to this one, is a good one. It states on the letter very "CLEAR" that this is an APPEAL but when I called and my Lawyer called BCBS they state it's in their legal deparment. It's a darn appeal and should be treated as such, not a legal matter. They have had my appeal over 90 days so far. I'm going to call them on Monday about another matter and while on the phone I'm going to ask to speak with someone that knows about appeals and ask why is my appeal sitting in the legal deparment. October 1,2004 will be a year of dieting and I'm going to resubmit all my paper work again in hopes to get approved. BCBS of IL is one of the worse Insurance companies I have ever dealt with. It's like the right hand don't know what the left hand is doing. Donna
