I'm in the mood for a little fun today...A poll, maybe? Are they any movies that are just too sad to watch for you? Mine would have to be: "When a man loves a woman" with Meg Ryan and Andy Garcia. The scene where the little girl is trying to tell her drunken mother something and the mom slaps the little girl in the face..OMG! I can't even look at Andy Garcia without thinking of that movie.. "Steel Magnolias" with Julia Roberts When the mom is crying at her daughters gravesite! uh!! Killer! How about you guys? Are you as sappy as I am? Jen

Radio with Cuba Gooding Jr was very good too! Carina, Carina with Whoopie Goldberg.

I would say "Terms of Endearment" & "Fried Green Tomatoes" are pretty good tear jerkers ; )

I totally agree with you about When a Man Loves a Woman... It really touches me because I am a recovering drug addict (3 years clean on Sept 13th) and someone very close to me is having relapse problems. That is a really goood movie! I think Radio is a tearjerker too. That movie was outstanding. My stepdad bought me a copy of The Passion of the Christ while I was in the hospital having my surgery. I haven'****ched it yet because I know I will be bawling and it will hurt my new stomach. Joy

I have a problem with movies that are just misery through the whole thing...you know, a big downer. I don't cry at sad movies...I cry when people are NICE to each other in movies...kindness puts me all in knots, and I always walk out thinking...wow what a great world this is! (ie: Big Fish) Movies I watched and later wished I hadn't because they were so sad: Born on the Fourth of July (Tom Cruise) Cold Mountain

Hope Floats ... when the mother dies and especially when the little girl, Bernice, wants to go with her daddy and he won't take her with him and she's screaming ...."Daddy don't leave me, I know you want me, noooooooooo" Oh man I was sobbing right there in the theater, my friend told me she thought she was going to have to take me out! Another one is "Spitfire Grill" ... anyone seen it? It's one of my faves.

Oh, Spitfire Grill...that was the one about the girl...gah memory not working...they put the grill up ownership to whomever does something, or something like that? I remember vaguely...like I remember her running through the woods...am I on the right track? That was a few years back, I know I liked it...I just have short term memory loss, lol senior moment

Yep that's the one. She gets released from prison and ends up at this very small town cafe where she and Hannah hit it off magnificantly lol. She does end up running through the woods looking for Johnny B Really going to bed now, for sure! LOL
