The Big no from Cigna
Honey...you pick your head up and get to work.
You call that insurance company and you find out what they need. Ask them if you can fax it or if you HAVE to send it. Get the address.
Get copies of what is required and copy them AGAIN. Fax them if you can fax them (Make sure you get a confirmation) and send them or only send them. Whatever they want. Send them PRIORITY WITH DELIVERY CONFIRMATION.
You can do this. Don't worry about other people and their BS. You are important to YOU and that is all YOU need to worry about. Forget that stupid B***h
Think about it. She is dealing with how many other cases? She couldn't care less about you specifically. YOU Care about YOU and now you have to take care of this.
YOU CAN DO THIS! And we are ALL here to help you.

APPEAL APPEAL APPEAL APPEAL APPEAL!!!!!!!
I was denied two times over the course of 10 months and it went all the way the the 2nd level of appeals department - But no matter how long it took and how much it hurt and how much it sucked nothing felt like it felt when I received the call from my insurance girl at Dr. Kanes office and she said I was approved. 10 months of waiting, crying, anger and yes even gainining more weight went all out the window when I got my YES!! YOU MUST call cigna and find out exactly what they need and send it yourself if you have to - DO NOT GIVE UP!!!! I'm telling you - I felt just like you and I gave up, the girl at my doctors office sent in the paperwork for a third time and I didn't even know it until after she did. When she told me what she did I just shrugged it off thinking nothing would happen, 5 days later I got my yes!! I used to come to these boards and get so depressed because inside I gave up I felt like I would never get my chance, don't give into that - get on the phone and start calling!!!!! best of luck and keep your head up.
APPEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't take the first NO the second NO or even a third NO!!!!!!!!!!!! Some of us had to battle a LOT to get what we wanted, others are still battling, but don't give up!!!!!!!!
Call them and ask them what their policy is. Then call back and ask someone else what it is. Make sure that you have the specifics for YOUR company's individual policy. Go to your human resources person at work (or whoever deals with the insurance policies there) and ask them to see the latest copy of your insurance manual. If there is a specific exclusion, you might have a problem, but still fight it. Check out Walter Lindstrom's website (just google Walter Lindstrom)... he is a lawyer who specializes in fighting for people who want to have the surgery. I emailed him and he gave me great advice ... without paying a cent.
Please do not give up your fight for a healthier life.
