Medical Field idiots!!
WTF?? Is the Medical field full of retards or what? You guys all know about my butt problems, right? Anyway..I had to fight with the appointment lady Friday at the gastro whatever dept. to get her to give me an appointment for a test WITHOUT a consultation...she instisted that her Dr's like to have a consultation before doing any tests..I explained to her that MY Dr wants this test done ASAP, due to the fact that my ASS is BLEEDING!! She rolled her eyes until they almost fell out and made my appointment for Friday at 1:30. ( for the test, according to her) Over the weekend, I have started to feel WORSE, more blood, stomach pains etc...I called to see if I could get in sooner for my test. She tells me that I'm in the system for a consultation!! I told her to give me any prep work that I'd need for the test figuring, I'd just be pro-active and show up prepared and BEG for him to just do the test then and there....she refused because I didn't have an appoinment for a test, I am set up for a consultation...why do I need a consultatin if MY DR said I need this test ASAP??
I called MY Dr, asked to talk to him directly, I get his nurse *****!!! She says that there is nothing they can do, that's how they run their department over there and no matter what MY Dr says, that's how they do It!! Am I supposed to sit around with a bloody ass until then? I asked if there was somewhere else I could get it done, does the hospital do the test outpatient? Can MY Dr call them and have them ru**** I tried everything. NOW, She won't even tell me the right name for it because I told her I was gonna find someone else to do it!! This is serious crap and I don't think It's a good idea to wait around!! Do I go BACK to the ER? I am SO PISSED!!! Why can't they find competant people to work in a friggin Dr's office? We are talking about my health here..not a pair of shoes or something stupid! I'm not one of those women who go to the Dr everytime they fart either...I have to be REAL sick to go to the DR. Arghhh...what now? I'm gonna tell them Friday that they are wasting my time and God Forbid something serious is wrong with me.....LAWSUIT!!!

If you really feel worse, and your ass keeps bleeding...I'd go. I mean, how much blood are you losing? Is it puddles of blood or just bloody stool. Why am I asking you this...I really don't WANT to know? LOL
Call your doctor back and explain what is going on and as them what THEY think you should do. Explain that it is getting worse.
I'm sorry you have to deal with this. But don't you have a happy story to tell?

IF they find out what it is ...ANYTHING that could be life threatening even if it turns out okay, I think I would consider talking to a lawyer or some kind of complaints department...

on the bright side.. when you arrive for your consultation, the doctor usually does a cursory examination.. if he (or she, let's be fair) decides there's something there that's urgent or requires immediate attention, you'll be prioritized for testing and/or care right away..
I agree about being frustrated though.. and I'm sorry you have to go through this.
