The good and the bad...
Hi all!
Sorry I haven't been around much (and no Melissa, it's not because i'm too cool! hehe). I've been trying to get into a groove as far as eating, vitamins, water and exercise. I have also been doing a bit of cleaning, trying to get everything like new in my house, so I can start fresh when I get back there (i'm staying with my mom for a few more days).
I'm still in a bit of pain, thank GOD for my binder it really helps. I had my first post-op visit with Dr. Frantzides yesterday and I have lost a whopping 28 pounds already! and my blood pressure is normal, so i'm off my pills. It's almost surreal I can't believe it! He took off the steri strips and I have 5 cute little incisions but all the sutures are on the inside so they should heal up nicely.
I had been given the go ahead to try different foods, so last night I tried a small cracker with some homemade guacamle on it.. BAD IDEA!!!
I dumped for about 30 minutes, it was AWFUL, It almost made me cry. Afterwards I was thankful to know I dump, it is something I want regardless of how bad it is, to keep me in line.
So I was feeling good, lost 28 pounds.. almost feeling "normal", then I get brought back down to earth, my body is NOT normal and it never will be.

I'm glad you are doing so well. I wish I had Karen. I wish Dr. T had ANYONE that did that kinda thing. I have STORIES to tell about West Suburban. Man...it coulda been bad.

You're only on clear liquids for a week??? I have 2 weeks then full liquids. YOU SUCK! LOL

I have to do clear liquids until I see Dr Frantzides for my first post op next Friday, the tenth. Here is what I eat everyday:
8:30 am -- 5 oz chicken or beef broth, 8 oz juice mixed with 8 oz water
1:30 pm -- same as above
8:30 pm -- same as above
snack, if want, but rarely: sugar free popsicle
