OK, I went to this place and got a box of these puppies for way cheap. I am now wondering if I can take them. LOL They are sweetened with Splenda. Are they a good source of protein? Nutrition Facts: Calories 190 Calories from fat 15 Total fat 2g Cholesterol 15mg Sodium 500mg Potassium 470mg Total Carb 19g Dietary Fiber 3g Sugars 2g Protein 25g It has a bunch of vitamins and such in it but I am new to this whole protein thing so was looking for some input. I was gonna post on the main board but they can never agree on anything. LOL It is fun to watch them argue though...... *****cuit

The nutrition numbers look good to me, and I've never had a problem with Splenda, but remember this early to do exactly what your surgeon told you to do. Deb

THe protein number is good, but the carbs are high...even the net carbs are a bit high, if youre counting carbs. I think, personally, if youre pushing protein, like you should be, and counting carbs, again as you should be as a very early post op, you could do better on the carbs;) Jmho!

Personally, I think this sounds great. My surgeon says not to go over 16 grams of sugar per serving. And 25 grams of protein is great! The shakes I bought only have 20. But...if you are on CLEAR liquids for now then these do not count as clear liquids, you will have to wait until stage 2. Also, when in doubt just call your surgeons office. Joy P.S. I still plan to take you up on that offer of getting together towards the holidays...as long as it is not in my junky house. lol...
