Post op day 4
Well, I have got to say this isn't so bad. I mean, I WANT to eat. I keep thinking of all these things that I didn't eat ONE LAST TIME but I'm ok.
I'll be able to go to full liquids on the 15th. I am looking forward to some cream of SOMETHIN soup.
I'm tired on and off. I keep getting these bursts of energy that last about 10 minutes. Then I need a nap. I took off the pressure dressing from my Neck IV so I can go take a shower. YIPPEE!!!!!
I am concerned that I am knowing when I am hungry. It's on time and all but I am worried that isn't it too soon?
It's more that I feel lightheaded and dizzy than actual hunger. But I DO know when I am thirsty and that is alot. I know sip sip sip but I'm afraid I'll do TOO MUCH sipping. LOL
I wish I could weigh myself and see what I've lost. I know I've lost something because my ankles are SO SKINNY! My mom told me to take a picture but with nothing to compare it to...it's kinda hard.
This binder this is ******g me off. But it's better with it on for skin's sake.
I really want some chicken. It's completely mental but it still drives me CRAZY! I'm drinking chicken broth so I'll just have to deal.
I just wanted to update ya'll. I'm off to shower and then take a nap...
Hey girl!
I was the same way... I have hunger cravings off and on. In the hospital I was hungry when I saw food commercials, hehe. Don't worry about it, most of it is in your head. I'm 11 days out now and my appetite is going away, I have to remind myself to eat. I'm on semi solids and some solids. I had a few chunks of chicken yesterday and it didn't taste as good as I thought it would. I feel ya on the skinny ankles, I look at mine and wonder who's they are! My doc doesn't give us a binder, but his nurse gave me one and it's a godsend when walking! Keep up the good work!
*hugs*

Congratulations!!! I was the exact same way (cravings--pancakes,bratwursts,etc.)..at first. It has passed. I was worried about the head hunger thing. It's pretty cool because I thought that since it's just a matter of my stomach being much smaller that the head thing would be terrible...You know how diet pills usually work on your brain and that stops the head hunger...But since I am not really hungry (often) it's no biggie. After eating (for a couple hours) food is the farthest thing from my mind...rambling...anway..my best to you!!!!!
