Glucophage

Have any of you been on glucophage before? and if so, what kinds of side effects did you have if any. I just started taking it today. So far no major side effects, but just one low dose to build up. Thanks! Katie

Hi! I take glucophage, 500mg 1xdaily at supper. I never really noticed any side effects with it.

OKAY, has it made you lose any weight? And I wonder if your doctor has you on enough or mine is putting me on too much. She said it may cause me to lose some weight. I am not diabetic but insulin resistant, I actually put off too much insulin. But, I am told that is pre-diabetic. I am to take 1 500mg tablet with my largest meal daily for a week. Then take 2 with my largest meal for a week, then after that 3 for a week, and go to the doctor for more labs and weight, and blood pressure next month. I've heard its supposed to help you lose a little weight, but to be honest, I dont think I did. IF I did it was very little. I dont know what I'm supposed to be on, honestly. The place where I"ve been going screwed me around and they've now got an actual DR that specializes in diabetes, migranes,etc. So I'm going to see how he works out. The others were just physician assistants. And NOBODY had charted on me in over a YEAR. I was livid. I told him about it and I saw where he has everything caught up for now. So we'll see.

I take 500MG 3x aday and i have been doing it for a year now.Nope i havent lost any weight here.Im also insulin resistant,and im a type 2 Diabetic.Thats been about it for me i guess.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! I do not like this stuff. I am miserable. I can hardly walk, hardly sit I can't keep out the bathroom!!! Heck I can't even make it TO the bathroom...how embarrassing, degrading AND painful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
