A whole cheeseburger???
Please, please, please, someone tell me how I could eat a whole cheeseburger from McDonald's at just two months post-op??????
This seems crazy being that my stomach is supposed be the size of an egg!!
I know some will say...."Even if you can, why would you??" Because I was hungry!!!
I know it's a tool....but at this early post-op this surgery is supposed to stop me from eating like this....I thought!
Well if it makes you feel any better, when you take a cheeseburger and smoo**** up you could get it down to the size of an egg....
How did you feel AFTER did you feel you had over eaten? if you didnt then maybe i'd be concerned of course i'm pre op so I cant really help other than tell you about my smooshed cheeseburger..

I use to explain to others how it felt right after surgery, how little you could put into your system. I remember 1/4 ounce of food could take me 45 minutes to eat. But as the months and years went by, I now can eat about 4 to 6 ounces at a meal. I try not to drink liquids before eating just so I can get more protein in.
My best suggestion is to try eating very slow and if need be, watch the clock, take a bite every 10 minutes. When your full, pu**** away.
The surgery gave me portion control, I now have to make better choices to keep the weight off. And I still have 15 lbs to go until I reach goal.

Jeanne, that does seem like an awful awful lot for only being 2 months out. I am over a yr out and cant eat that much or better yet, I wouldnt attempt to eat that much. Id make myself stop. You learn good eating habits and exercise habits early on. Like during the first six months. Yes, this is only a tool. Use it.

Hi Kate!!! Nice to see you here!! Everyone this is my friend Kate, I play pool with her husband Tom and her brother in law Rich. They both beat my ass on a regular basis. In fact her husband Tom won the top gun trophey for this summers session.
now for your question, Usually liquid is not a problem as long as you are not chugging and they are not high in cals or fat.
