He works out of West Suburban, Resurrection and Westlake. I am having surgery at West Sub tomorrow with him.
You need to speak to Crystal who is the bariatric coordinator there. www.newhopesurgical.com
Good Luck!
All I can say is Dr. Frantzides! His office is in Evanston. The number is 847-570-1422. http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/forums/messageboard.php?ID=TR-1003507909
I don't have to pay for my hospitalization and anesthesia, so I don't know what they cost but I paid $6300 for the Dr.'s surgery fees. I am having my surgery tomorrow.
Good luck to you!

Contact Swedish Covenant Hospital on the northside of chicago. It's around Foster and kimball. I was told that you get a % off if you are a cash paying patient. So call them and please let me know how it goes. Good luck!! I was QUOTED $17,000 for the entire surgery if I had to pay out of pocket. But contact them to be sure.
Cher,
From what I've seen on this site, in the news and elsewhere, the surgeon you choose is crucial to the successful outcome of your surgery. I'm sure you've already thought about all of this, but I'll say it anyway; don't chose your surgeon just on the basis of who comes in with the lowest bid. Ask hard questions and find out who has done the most surgeries of whatever type you've chosen and what their complication and morbidity rates are. They have that information and should be willing to share it with you.
Also, most insurance won't pay for complications that result from self pay surgery. One more reason to make sure you get the best surgeon possible.

Previously I quoted a price for Dr. Frantzides surgeon fees. My mother is the one who actually paid for it and I was mistaken on the price. I would still recommend calling him because he is a fabulous surgeon! You will just have to ask what the cost will be.
I am sorry for any confusion my previous post may have caused anyone.
