Including today I have 2 days. Tomorrow is also Mo's Orientation for her first time at school. It's quite a roller coaster over here. My baby, my 5lb preemie is getting SO big and I'm going to be getting SO SMALL. LOL I got in a fight with my mom the other day. Long story short...she apologized and asked if I wanted her to be there. I swear...I don't know what to say. I want her there. Oh man...I want her to be there more than anyone else but I don't want her to be there and be uncomfortable because she does NOT get along with my husband or my MIL. Time is running out. I also don't want her to get into trouble for taking the day off of work. I don't know what to do. I wish I could have not told ANYONE and just done it on my own. I SWEAR! I keep getting messages on my surgery page. They come about once a day or so which is very encouraging. Don't forget to sign Joy's page too. She is having surgery the same day as me! Biscuit

Here's my two cents! Trust me that you will not want to (or possibly even be able to) deal with ANYone else's emotions (DH, MIL, mom) ... SO ... just remind them ALL that they are adults ... you are having major surgery ... and you DO NOT want to witness or hear about any problems THEY may be having ... It seems like perhaps you should leave it up to your mom as to whether she wants to come or not, since she will know ahead of the time the cir****tances (i.e., DH and MIL) ... YOU are not going to be much company ... so she will more or less be on her own (it sounds like) ... Anyway ... wishing you the BEST ... just YOU ... all for YOU! (okay, okay, your whole family ... but mostly YOU!) Nancy 353/245/170

Hey you! Sorry I haven't been around much, just been on a sleep, sip, walk cycle. I'll keep you in my thoughts! You're gonna be JUST fine. Remember, it will hurt at first but the drugs are your friend! There is no reward for who can take the most pain so use em! Also, get up and walk as soon as you can, I know it'll hurt but it will SO be worth it! Good luck girlie! ~Jenn 6 days post-op LAP RNY

Just wanted to wish you good luck. I kinda had a bit of anxiety about my parents being in the same place during my surgery (their marriage ended on bad terms and they hadn't spoken but once in like 20 years). I asked them both if they could handle it and they both agreed to "be good" and everything turned out fine. I hope your situation goes just as smoothly whatever they choose to do. Remind them that this is all about Y-O-U! Cathy
