My mother has always LOVED Elvis Presley so one year I bought her a beautiful framed photo of Elvis and she had it on her wall...when my niece was about 4 she started asking who the guy inthe picture was and my mother told her that he her husband and left it at that..(My father ran off when I was 8)
About a yr later, my niece ran into the kitchen crying because she saw on the TV that Elvis had died on that day so many years ago and was sad because everyone knew but Grandma. It took my mom DAYS to fess up that the man in the picture really was NOT her husband but a famous singer.
THEN she started asking where her REAL Grandpa was and THAT opened up a whole NEW can of worms....this is why we shouldn't lie to our children!!!
