BC/BS OF IL PPO LOOK AT THIS NOTE !!

Can someone explain what is going on with this? My husband had BC/BS of IL when he was preop and was approved within 3 days. We never had a problem with them. What happened? Melissa

I was approved right away too. They didn't fight at all or make me provide any additional information. I think I was blessed to have them.

Hi, I am going to contact her, thank you. Unfortunately, the surgery rate tripled last year. People became aware of the surgery through Carnie Wilson and Randy Jackson. Because the number of people going for the surgery tripled (and BCBS of Illinois is a fraudulent company trying to pay off 144 million dollars worth of fines from the federal government) they decided to make it impossible to get coverage for the surgery so they no longer had to pay for it. All of these new policies became effective late last year. So if you were approved before 2003 or before the winter of 2003, then you were very lucky. It's happening with a lot of other insurance companies but some of them see it as a benefit. No more diabetes, high blood pressure etc. That is long term stuff. BCBS of Illinois doesn't have the money now because of the magnitude of their fines and the fact that they are for profit. Look it up..it's all on the web!!!
