trapped by the insurance

I am lost. I have done all my paperwork and tests to find my insurance is non-inclusive. My physican wrote them a letter, as did i. I never got a responce to mine and New Start tells me there is nothing they can do except for me to self pay. Does anyone have any ideas regarding this. My next step may have to be leaving a job i love to find one with insurance that will cover me. I would do so with a heavy heart, but, if i dont do something soon, i see my life dwindling away. Oye, I'm digging frantically in my brain...there was someone on this board who started with New Start and changed surgeons to get approval. Argh...I can't remember who it was though. Have you called your insurance? When you say non-inclusive, you mean they don't cover WLS at all?

thanks for responding Anne....and yes, they do not cover weight loss surgery at all! looking at media and legislature, soon they will all have to....but the rate new legislature moves, God only knows when that will be. I am currently forwarding my policy to my lawyer. Again i would really appreciate knowing if anyone else has overcome this. thanks, shirley
