My morning....long story!
My mother lives in a 3rd floor apartment, has been there for 23 yrs.
I dropped my kids off at the back door and told them to run up and look out the front window so I know they got up there, we do this all the time. (when I'm running too late to go up and chat before work). I went around the block, look up and nobody is there so honk....honk...honk... scream "Ma????" so because my mother is always ill and she is my responsablilty, I freak and RUN (try too...) up the three flights of stairs, go in, (thank God I have keys) let my kids in the back door who are now crying, scared to death because Grandma didn't let them in and I say "Hello???" and I hear this faint voice "I'm locked in the bathroom"...she was having a panic attack in there BAD! She told me not to kick the door in because the landlord would be mad so I took the door knob OFF, still couldn't open it, took the hinges off..STILL couldn't open it..so I told her to get IN the tub and close the curtain and KICKED THE DOOR DOWN!!! She came out clutching her chest,..I thought she was gonna fall over so I called my boss to tell him I was going to take her to the ER, she told me she'd be fine so I came to work...told my kids (7 and 9) to call 911 if Grandma starts acting funny..Before I left she looked at the clock and said "it's 8:30??? I went to the bathroom at 6!!!" OH MY GOD!!
OMG... is she gonna be ok??? sounds terrifying! She seems like such a sweetheart from meeting her the other night. You're a great daughter to take care of her like you do Your daughters seem very smart, i'm sure they won't let anything happen to grandma! Sorry you had to have such a ****ty morning I hope your weekend goes better!

YIKES!
I'm glad she's ok. What was up with the door?
Make sure she has a cordless phone and tell her to bring it into the bathroom with her. Ours has a little clip. She probably (like all grandmas) wears a little housecoat. She can just clip it on the pocket.
You have the strangest things happen to you. LOL
