Is tomorrow 8/18 still on for Dave and Busters? 7pm? Dining room area? Just checking because I am really excited about meeting alot of you guys and gals!! Tricia

Yep...I was just gonna post about that... What will you be wearing and how will we know that you are part of our group?? I plan on wearing a black skirt and hot pink shirt...I'll be the short, fat,white lady with the 2 little Mexican girls. (and a short little Italian lady, my mom) Can't wait!

I don't know what I will wear, probably a pear of blue jeans and a shirt. I will be the short fat white girl with (died) strawberry blond hair. Can't wait either. Do you know where we are all going to meet? Is it going to be the dining room for $300.00? Were there enough people for that? Tricia

I wish I could go!!!! I love D&B's and haven't been there in 2 years but I'm stuck at home on bedrest (pregnant) so y'all have lots of fun. I just met another IL boardmember this morning(sheer coincidence!) (Thanks Melissa!!) who steered me to this sub-board. I didn't even realize there were state specific mesageboards like this and had only been hanging out on the main messageboards. I am 15 months post-op, had my surgery at Alexian with Dr Kane Sr's group in Elk Grove. I celebrated my 1 year post-op anniversary by getting pregnant (2 days before my re-birthday!) and it's been rocky but all seems to be going okay for the most part. Anyway I just wanted to kind of introduce myself here. Ciao! and hopefully I can make the next get-together if junior inside of me stops making trouble. Colleen in Mt. Thanks! It's very important to wait that year (some docs now recommend 18 months) to get the most from your surgery, get used to the regimen as well as be sure your nutrients are being absorbed well enough. I just had my full lab workup and thank goodness everythign is just fine. i sure was worried baby would be getting everythinng needed but I'd be left hanging. I just moved out of Elk Grove. LOVE that town. Colleen

I gave the Dad the barbies and he said that he JUST talked to the girls last night and they were crying and hysterical because they were having to leave their barbies! He was just about crying he was so happy. So I just want to say THANK YOU AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN! You are making some very happy little girls! Me

I never knew there was a separate board just for us flatlanders! This is definitely more manageable than skimming thru the busier main board. I was so happy to help. My love of dolls got me thru the worst years of my life so it is only fitting that they can help cheer up others now. I probably won't freecycle too many more barbies because i think I'd be swamped with requests hahaha!! but I can definitely tackle more of those boxes of other goodies you saw in the garage. it was great meeting you.
