Happy Re-Birthday To Me

Hi Amos friends Well... Right about now this time last year I was finishing up my nesting and anything else I could find to do to avoid sleeping..... I was eagerly anticipating my early morning trip to Chicago to have my RNY done by Dr. Daniel Deziel I was not scared(well... maybe a little nervous:angst)) because I was armed with a wealth of knowledge.... most of which came from right here.... From my pals here at AMOS It's been a helluva year ...Lots of things have changed and life is now fun again. I've lost 145lbs(from 316 to 174lbs) My surgeon's goal for me is 175lbs. I am shooting for 150-150 range but who knows?? I am healthier than I have been in years...I came through this surgery with flying colors as far as I'm concerned....In regards to total lifestyle change, following all of my Health Professional's directions to assure using my "tool" to it's fullest extent, My bloodwork had been great for the last year... I must be doing something right. I still write everything in my little food log every day to keep myself accountable......I am thinking about stopping this though...I just want to be normal and I know what I can and shouldn't eat. I get a minimum of 100grams of protein each day.... I start my day with a protein drink and the rest I get from food... I get a minimum of 66 oz of water each day.... I talk calcium CITRATE and a multivitamin each day.... for the rest of my life. I even *gasp* eat fruit I do all of this now like it is 2nd nature to me. Oh... and I have a BMI of 29.9 I'm just "Overweight" now..... All this after being SMO for more than 15yrs..... I never in my wildest dreams thought I could look like this...Sometimes I don't even recognize myself Blah Blah blah.... go read my profile if you want to see my whole story....
