Insurance Approval

Do anyone have BCBS PPo of Illinois? If so, are you having problems with approval?

I had BCBS of IL PPO and had nothing but problems!!! After 3 appeals and working with a patient advocate, I ended up doing self-pay. Good luck!

I have BCBS of IL PPO through the ICHIP program. I'm just beginning to try to get approval. Why did they reject you? I'll take any tips that I can get. They told me they covered it if I met the criteria and had doctors cert, etc. I don't know if ICHIP is any different. It's a program for the state of IL for people who can't get other insurance. It's pretty expensive - $420 per month for me. I often think that if they won't approve it that I will go on Medicaid. I would probably be eligible because of a car wreck last September, I have been unable to work.

Hello i must say that BCBS is nothing but trouble i also ended up self paying for the surgery which will be 10/18 with Dr. Frantzides of Evanston NorthWestern good luck with bcbs they suck
