Got a date!!! Got some questions too!!!

I posted this on the main board as well, the date is September 2nd. The question is...the doctor says after surgery I'll have 2 tubes in me. One will be removed before I go home, the other will come out after 3 weeks. Can someone tell me about their experiences with the tubes.

In all honest the tube meaning drain wasnt at all fun for me and it does hurt but when it comes out its wonderful!! Each peson is differnt i just know it hurt my so bad i wanted to cry. One night i almost tripped over the dog and i pulled the drain talk about pain well i was glad i was getting it out the next day. Hi Laura! I didn't go home with any tubes, just had one in the hospital which they took out the day after my surgery and it didn't hurt. It was more of an annoyance! It was right near my bellybutton and just felt like someone slid their finger across my skin firmly when the nurse removed it. Good luck with EVERYTHING!!!! Keep us posted on how things go for you! Hi Laura, I came home with a drain ... had to empty it every day ... YUK!! But I never had a problem with it ... and they took it out at my 2-week checkup. Only maintenance required was to keep the area clean (with alcohol swabs) and then covered with gauze (because it leaked a little). Good luck to you! Nancy 353/254/170
