anyone from north chicago suburbs?

i'd like to find some people in the north chgo suburbs and start a support group. a WLS support group. i don't want just bypass or just lapband i want a mix of people. no one saying one is better than the other. just people who want to get together to talk about trials and tribulations of their WLS. i went to a support group not too far from my house. i was told by someone, there would be people there who had different types of WLS and it was all RNY people who were on the rude side and very against lapband surgery. i made my statement that "we all had WLS and are supposed to want to support and help one another no matter what kind of surgery we had." it's not what i really wanted to say to them but i left. they really were obnoxious about the whole thing. anyways, i'd like to have views from all people with all WLS in this group. if you'd like to participate please feel free to email me. thanks. linda
