OK, Debby, I don't want to make things worse BUT... (sorry) From what I understand, IDPA does NOT cover your refills for the band. I know that is what I was told when I went to the informational meeting so you may want to check into that. I am not getting the band because I KNOW I can (and am more than happy to) graze and the band will make it easier to sabotage myself. I am also not getting the band because of IDPA not covering my fillups. LOL I know that the RNY having the malabsorbtion thing is the route for ME. I know grazing could be detrimental to my success as an RNY patient. I just know that I am aware of what to expect with RNY and I know what NOT to do more. KWIM? I'm more comfortable with it since my husband had it and I have experienced everything. I'm not comfortable with not knowing if I need a refill or not for the band and what if I don't have the money to get it filled? Do they sell that on the corner like crack? Make sure you find out if IDPA will pay for your fill ups. Also, find out what TYPE of eater you are. Are you a grazer, bloater or sweeter? That will help you know what is the best surgery for YOU. Good Luck! I hope I didn't make things too much worse. ;) You know I love ya! Melissa
