Good Evening All, Well, I had the final visit with my surgeon today and scheduled my pre-op for tommrrow. Everything is okie dokie and then my surgeon calls me around 5:30pm and tells me that they still haven't got my cardiology report from St. Louis U and they'll need some documentation from the cardiologist that when he stated follow-up, he meant after surgery not before. If they don't have it by Tuesday they will have to cancel my surgery. So, tommrrow first thing I'm gonna track down the folks at SLU and try and get a copy of my report and get this cardiologist to specify that follow up is for after surgery. I should think positive that I will be able to get the copies tommrow and everything will be good, I guess I'm just being paranoid because I have waited so long to get this done and have been poked and proded more than I care to be to qualify. Anyhow, thanks for letting me ramble and any words of encouragement will be greatly appreciated

Thanks so much for your words of encouragement. I had my pre-op appointment today and thanks to some very wonderful (and persistant) individuals in Referral Management. I was able to get a copy of my echo report faxed and now I'm ready for surgery I just have to finish bloodwork tommrrow, then Tuesdays the day.

I know that feeling.... the same thing happened to me. They hadn't gotten the cardiac clearance and they called me at 7pm the night before surgery. Thankfully I was able to get a hold of my Primary care doctor who contacted the hospital and had them fax the stuff to my surgeon.... but talk about close call. I know this post is a day late, so I'm hoping that you have all of the documentation already. Let me know if you did. Plus, I will be praying that you have a quick and uneventful recovery.
