I am going through the same thing and have been for about 3 months. It gets so much harder each month after surgery and now that I am 14 months out, I find it impossible.
I scheduled a visit with a counselor through my church next week. Hopefully she can help me out or help me find someone who can. I KNOW what I NEED to do and WHAT I am SUPPOSED to do. But hey, I didn't get to be over 300 pounds by myself. I am starting to o back to old habits. Surgery was only on the stomach and intestines, not the mind.
Compulsive overeatting is just as serious as Anorexia or Bulemia, but doesn't get all the hype that the others do. Hopefully therapy will help me figure out how to stop the compulsive drive to put something in my mouth all the time.
Marsha I am no help here but I will tell you what my nutritionist told me, keep a food diary with times and amounts. Then when you are feeling hungry look at your diary see what you at last what you at last if its been a reasonabl eamount of time then you are probably hungry... if not then look and see what is going on with you, are you anxious? Upset? Right now with you not working I'd bet your eating out of bordom more than anything. It will all change once your working again...
Thank you that will be $50
