Support Groups in Northern IL???

Hi! I just finished my cosultation last week, and would love to meet others who will be/have gone through WLS. I see a lot of people in southern IL, just wondering if there are any support groups up here?

Anne, I believe thier is a support group out of Alexian Bros. Hospital in Schaumburg. There are also meetings out of Northwestern Hospital & Rush Presbyterian/St. Lukes - both are downtown. I am a little bit south of you (but by no means southern IL). Our support group meetings meet the 1st Wednesday of every month at 7pm at the the Holiday Inn Oak Lawn (about 4 miles east off 294 South/ 95th East street exit). Your always welcome to attend one of ours!!! Go to 'suburban surgicalcare.com" and there's a list of support meetings, seminars etc...what Dr's did you go too?

Hi Anne, There are support group meetings in Evanston, Highland Park, Glenview and Buffalo Grove. There are run by an incredible women who had this surgery about 3 years ago and lost over 200 pounds. If you wnat more information, please email me. Good Luck! Marla
