Nuggets!

A friend of yours and mine has asked me to tell you about the Obesityhelp events that I have been to. Back in April I attended my first OH event in Anaheim California. I was able to meet several people that I now call friends. We have a tight group here in California and we are very supportive of each other. I have managed to travel north and south here in California attending support group meetings and meeting message board friends face to face. We have been able to share valuable information through these meetings and have organized 2 softball teams. This would not be happening if we had not got together at the Anaheim event first. I was fortunate to be able to attend the Texas event in May where I met Marsha Roseboom. We talked and shared some info on support groups. Texas was a lot of fun and very informative. I will value the new friendships I made in Texas and hope to see them again in October at the next National Convention. Your event on July 10th is your opportunity to meet and greet new friends and to find the nuggets of information that will help you on your journey. Please try to attend if at all possible. You will not regret it. I read the Illinois board often as I was born in Aurora. I recently found out my cousin had WLS and is doing good. I had mine (open RNY) in Dec 2003 I am now down 138 pounds. Loving life and meeting new people "Through commonality we share, through diversity we grow" Look for the nuggets in life....you will be rewarded. Darrol Houser 450/312/?
