New to Chicago/ Looking for support group

Hi, My name is Beverly. I moved to Chicago from Atlanta last November. I was very active in a support group in Atlanta and I'm hoping to find something here. We had a group that went to dinner together, had a clothing exchange, and of course, had a support group meeting. Does anyone know of such a thing? I'm in the city (Lakeview) but have transportatoin and can get whereever I need to, within reason.

Hi Beverly: There is a support group that meets the first Tuesday of every month in the University of Chicago Hospital. We meet in Dr. Alverdy's waiting room (DCAM 6A) at 5:30. Our next meeting is July 6. You are welcome to attend! Nancy 4/12/04 lap RNY
