Anyone w/Dr. S. Horgan? Questions...

Grace, I went to the seminar in February and I am just now going to the first Doctors appointment 6/22/04. U of I is a very slow process. I am hoping that I can have surgery before Christmas. I do not understand why they have these seminars every few weeks but they fail to tell you that it will be months before you actually begin the process. It is very frustrating. But this is where my insurance sent me and the will not budge about me going to another hospital. all I can say is be patient they have not forgotten you or lost your paperwork. Good Luck Sherrie

Sherrie- Wow! That IS a very slow process. I'm sorry that I actually got upset at how long it was taking for me. I went to the seminar May 17 and had my first consult yesterday, June 14. All went well, Dr. Horgan apparently was on vacation so I had my consult with one of his Fellows. He was a very nice man and very thorough. Also, the dietican, Vanessa, has moved to Oregon I think so I met with the new dietician, Anjolie. She too was very sweet and professional. She is also very young which actually made me more comfortable. Best of luck to you! Grace

Grace, I intially had a appointment in May, they called and said the Dr would not be there and that I would have to reschedule. First they tried to make me take a July appointment, I was so upset I ended up being driven to tears. I got a little rude with the girl that was making the new appointment and she gave me the one that I have now. I am glad that you have had better luck than me. The office must be really unorganized, I felt if they were cancelling my appointment that I should have been rescheduled much sooner since I had already been waiting so long.
