Tueday Roll Call
Hello everyone
I did actually get my eye exam on Saturday. I opted for both glasses and contacts. I was there practicing getting the contacts in and out. I got them in fairly easy but had a heck of a time getting them out. To the point my left eye was really sore from poking at it so much. I decided to let it rest a few days before I try to put them in again. My eyes were so red and blood shot...not to mention sore from poking at them.
I will try again tomorrow. I think I gave them more than enough time to rest. I was also worried that spending all that time with my fingers in my eyes I was going to end up giving myself an infection. So I wanted to wait and see if anything developed. Nothing.
The short few hours I had the contacts in it was so nice to be able to read things and not have to put my glasses on first.
Today, because of the nice weather Greg is going to BBQ some sausages.
I have been really good about my eating lately. I hope my weight shows it. Last week I lost 3 lbs. Hopefully I will lose some more this week.
Well back to work. Have a good day all
Hi Crystal and the rest of Illinois!
Glad you got your eyes fixed up. I stinks not being able to see properly. I had a heck of a time learning how to put my contacts in. I could do it in the Dr.'s office, but I was hopeless at home. It turns out, I was not looking into the mirror when inserting them. I guess I was watching my finger. Now, I watch the mirror and am fine. As for taking them out, it is a bit of a learning curve, but at the end of the day, sometimes I need a few drops to wet them and loosen them. That seems to help. I LOVE my contacts sine I HATE wearing glasses. I could never get into the habit. I could see the reflection of my eyes in the glass and it drove me nuts. I wear my glasses morning and at night for the short time between bed and waking.
I know that Liv is having fun and spreading her wings. Last night, she went to a painting class thing with her friend's mom and friends. She has been posting some really great pictures of her hiking adventures.
I had to get into the lab this morning for my yearly check up and when I got there she only had 3 tubes waiting. There were at least 12 tests ordered, so I asked and it turns out that only 4 test were ordered. So, back to the lab after work to be poked again. Oh well.
That's about it for me.
What is everyone else up to today?
