Saturdau Roll Call
We have no plans for this weekend at all. It will be quiet. Yesterday we were going all over with errands. From here in Streator, to Ottawa and then to LaSalle.
I told all of you I was going for new glasses a couple of weeks ago. Here's an update on that experience. I picked then up the next Tuesday, and they were blurry. The gal told me that it would take 40 min. or so for my eyes to adjust to them. Ok, I can buy that. When I got home, they still were'nt cleared up. It was Labor Day weekend, so i waited until Tuesday to run back to LaSalle, 60 miles round trip. One lens had a wrong scrip in them. They then called me on the following Tuesday that they were ready for pickup. Back to LaSalle we go. I still couldnot see across the room. So, after an hour of them trying to get them right, I said I wanted my money back. They informed me that there would be a 20% restock fee. Something like $130. We hit the roof. No way am I paying for their screwup. We told them that we wanted to talk to their corp. offices. I finally got a full refund in the mail yesterday. They did offer a $50. credit on another pair of glasses, I let them know that I would never be back. The company was All About Eyes.
Ok. So much for my rant. I need to go get some pears and cabbage for a salad I want for tonight. What are you up to today?

Hello everyone
I had my typical busy Friday. Of course as soon as 4pm hit it rained like crazy. I'm not kidding. I stepped outside at 4:02 and the skies opened up. I stopped at Chilis for dinner. They have a good turkey burger. But they screwed up and my online order wasn't received and I ended up having to sit there for a half hour while they made the food. I got so annoyed because it happens every time I order something to go. So I complained and I ended up with a free dessert. LOL
Last night I did not sleep well at all. I fell asleep in some weird position and my right fell asleep and when I woke up it was completely numb. After that it was throbbing. Then no matter what position I would try to sleep in my arm would hurt. I couldn't get comfortable. I think I got maybe 2 hours of sleep. I guess it's Saturday if I wanted I could go back to sleep. But at this point I am wide awake.
Today we are going to Greg's sister's birthday party. Greg is making his guacamole. He makes good guacamole.
I actually get my eye exam any where that has a deal going. But I order my glasses on zennioptical.com. I can get glasses for $20 a pair...that's including shipping. It's so cheap I buy a pair for work, my purse, home...I have been buying from them for 3 years now. Love them. A lot of people say they don't like buying glasses without trying them on first but to that I say for this much...who cares. Second....they have measurements of their glasses so I buy glasses that are close to the measurements of the ones I have already. Knock on wood....I have yet to have a problem with them.

Crystal, I'm thinking about buying glasses like you do but I wonder about no line bifocals and the adjustments needed. Do you have any information about this? I'm in-active on this board but Dr Joyce did my lapband about the same as you got yours. I lost over 90lbs but have gained about 20, partially due to meds for fibro. being 73 years old and loving to eat. Congrats on your marriage, and new home.
