Weekend Roll Call

Good Morning. Fingers are crossed. Hoping for a second day of sun.I want to throw some chicken in the smoker later today. I will cover it in Sweet Baby Ray's  BBq sauce first, and let the flavor smoke in.

Yesterday I posioned some grass, and then helped Hubert cut bushes at a tenet house. Our renter and her kids came out and helped. Most of them won't.

Well, in about a half hr from yesterday this time Dave was put in the hospital again after fainting during the veteran's memorial dedication. They are trying to find out why this is happening. Few tests last night and more today. The doc is concerned also about his chronic fatigue. 

So, here we are @ ABMC in EGV. 

Have they checked his colon? Mine had a tear in it. That was why I was losing blood.

They will in the form of a stool sample.

Oh Christine, I am so sorry.  I sincerely hope Dave will be alright and they finally find out what is going on with him.  Keep us posted.  Meanwhile, we will all keep him in our thoughts and prayers.

Hi everyone!

We had lunch with Kelly and her husband and their daughter and now we are at the store hanging up a huge set of knitting needles someone donated to us. I'll have a picture on FB later. We celebrate one year in business next Wednesday. What a fast year! I didn't know if I would like being so busy but it's been fun and we are enjoying it a lot. I do miss Door County but maybe we can get in a quick trip one of these days!

Hello everyone

What a weekend...so far it's been nice out!!!!  No rain.

Yesterday we went to a cookout up in Wisconsin and was gorgeous weather.  We relaxed and had good food and great company.  We left a little late so we didn't get home till almost midnight.  Of course I was up at the crack dawn today anyway...but I laid around in bed relaxing. 

I got up and got my butt in gear because I thought rain was coming and I was bound and determined to get my front yard done today.  So I was outside by 8am doing my yard work.  I was done by noon.  I was full of sweat and dirt...but I was done and the yard looks good!!!

I do have one little thing I have left to do in the front...I have to dig up a dead bush.  Then I can start working on the back yard.  I am wondering how much work it is to dig up a really dead old bush.  Have any of you guys did this before??? 

But the rest of today I am relaxing.  I have a headache now.  So I am done.

Crystal, I once dug out bulbs that had such deep roots, it took over an hour. I think most bushes don't root very deep, evergreens would be different. We pulled out evergreen bushes years ago and it took hours. Good luck!
