Happy Sunny Tuesday

Hello everyone

I hope everyone is OK after that terrible weather yesterday.  I know there was a tornado spotted a little south of us. 

I know Greg wants to get out and mow today.  It needs it badly.  I want to do some clean up.  With all this rain the weeds are getting out of hand. 

The taco salad was super yummy.  Greg's is a bit more fattening than mine.  He puts Doritos and sour cream on his. 

The flooding issue seems to be under control.  I tell you the people that had this house before us did not take of it at all.  Not only were they not very clean but they just didn't keep up with the yard.  And things like the guy fixing our flooding issue found kids toys clogging our down spouts.  Really???  I did find toys and other debris when I was digging up the garden but in the gutters and down spouts???  Strange.

I know one thing I am glad I hadn't even touched the back yard, gardening.  Because that flooding washed away everything in that corner of the house.  I would have been so upset.  As it is I have come to the conclusion not to plant anything over there.  I am going to just have flower pots over there.  That way if there are any future issues with flooding I can just move the pots.

I stuck my head outdoors about 15 minutes ago and it is glorious. Meeting up with some financial people at 4pm. Thankfully we do not have to go any further away than our dining room as they are coming to us. Afterwards I hope to get outside for a short while.

We got home from Chicago at 2am this morning!!! I couldn't get home fast enough!!! Carl and I did a good deed and brought a distant cousin with us to Chicago to see her sister. She hadn't seen her brothers and sisters in over three years and now I see why! She talks non stop!!! Didn't give me but 30.00 or less for gas. Even tried to ask for it back cause she wanted the cash to buy cigarettes! I told her no! I was getting irritated by then!!! She expected me to pay for everything!! Even wanted the clothes off my back!!

she told me before I left she would pay a third of the gas and one hotel. I said that's fine. She would give me a check when we got home. We pull in the drive way and then she tells me she can't give me any money cause she doesn't have it!!! I said oh? Hmmmm and got in the car! 

Then today she calls and asks me when in September am I going!!! I told her she can fly on her own!!! 

I told her I don't like being used like a rug!!!
