Good Morning,

Welcome home Christine and Dave. The pictures you posted were beautiful. It makes me want to go back, but our next cruise is from N.Y. to Nova Scotia, in June of next year.

I will be leaving for Minn. on the 12th. The only bad thing is there is no phone service or internet. No TV either.

I started painting the shed door yesterday. I did the red part then. this morning I want to finish the white part. Little by little the back yard is coming together.

What is going on in your world?

Huggers,

Lisa

Hello everyone

Well I am now having trouble finding a hair salon in Lake Tahoe that has open appointments on the day of the wedding.  I shouldn't have waited so long to make an appointment.  Oh well.  If I can't find anything I will do my own hair and save money.  I just thought it would be nice to go have my hair washed and styled before the wedding

I am looking up how to scare away birds from your yard.  They are just pooping all over the patio, patio furniture, front porch.  It's obnoxious.  They are saying to put predator decoys out and it will scare them away.  They have this noise box that will make noise and scare them away.  There is all these weird things.  And I still have a family of bunnies under my porch to contend with.  I was told mothballs will get rid of them.

Another complaint I have is the owners before us (there were 2).  The first one put down rocks...instead of mulch.  The second put down mulch.  It's now this weird combination of both.  I don't like it.  I'm not sure how I would even go about getting rid of all that rock.  It might be something I will do eventually.

Today I am making grilled buffalo chicken strips.  It's my healthy answer to buffalo wings.  After work I have to get gas and go to Walmart.  I am going to work out in the yard a bit.  I really need to sort out that rock/mulch situation.  The rock is in the mulch and visa/versa.  If I have to live this for awhile, I at least want it separated.  I also need to spray more weed killer in the cracks of the paver brick.  The weeds love it there.

Well back to work all.  Enjoy your Wednesday.

Crystal, fake snakes will help with the birds. You can't really keep them out of your yard. They fly where they want. The noise box will only keep them away for a while. Remember, these are city birds. They are use to humans and noise.

Rocks are another matter. A lot of work to get rid of them, it will happen, but not in one day. Use a shovel and just do a little at a time.

Try mothballs, its a cheap way to get rid of them bunnies. You can also call an animal exterminator

I am on a hunt for a can of white paint to finish the shed door. I kknow I have some, but I cant find it. Next step, to the hardware store I go.

Rubber snakes.  That's a nice cheap solution. I was joking with Greg that I was going to get some stray cats and have them take care of the problem.  LOL.  Funny thing is When I lived in Urbana I had a bird feeder and a bird bath and had hardly any bird poop.  I don't understand why we are getting so much.  It's gross.

I bought my fake owl at Walmart.

I agree with Lisa. Work small areas to get rid of the rock.....otherwise it's debilitating. I do that sort of the thing on cloudy cool days or early in the day......hugs

Get a fake owl decoy and put it on a pole near the patio. You can get them at garden centers or at the big box store garden center.
