Saturday Roll Call
I think this is going to be a wasted day. It has been raining since I got up, so another day I am unable to finish the painting of the tables on the deck. Oh well, I will find something to do. I am not good a****ching tv all day like Hubert can do.
We went to a new to us place for dinner last night. It is called Gunsmoke Grill in Cedar Point, Il. about 17 miles from us. Appetizers, Burgers, Steak sandwiches, and drinks. I enjoyed it, so did all of our group. It is another place for us. BTW, we ate outside, it was a great night to do so.
I seen a new craft idem yesterday that I am going to try. It's a wreath made of flip-flops and ribbon. I am thinking about it for the front door for the summer. I may even make one to take to Minn. for a gift in a couple of weeks.
Bratburgers and potatoe salad for supper tonight. Hopefully I can grill them outside, but if not, no problem.
Have a good if wet day,
Hugs,
Hello everyone
My Saturday is starting out relaxing. Although, I did vacuum and dust.
I still haven't bought a dress for the wedding and people are really starting to get on my butt about. Including Greg. When your fiance starts nagging you about getting a dress it's time to get a dress. So considering it's a destination wedding on a beach and then we will go out to eat. I will literally wear the dress for a couple of hours and a total of maybe 6 people will see me. Greg said he had $1000 budgeted for my dress....and I almost choked. That is wayyyyy more than I planned on spending. I was considering buying a dress from consignment website. They have beautiful dresses. Greg was less than OK with the idea of me buying a used dress. I say...big freaken deal. I can get a gorgeous dress for less than $300. I don't feel like I am losing out at all. What do you guys think??? Do you think it's weird? I would take the dress to tailor if needed. It would still be cheaper.
Here's the twoI am thinking about getting. I think it's great for a beach wedding. It looks light weight so I won't get hot. Only thing is I am worried I will look fat in it. I know I know. I should be happy with the way I look...but I wish I could look as good as the ladies in the picture...LOL. Don't know which one....both are Alfred Angelo so sizing is the same for both
Anyway. I took my measurements and I am pretty sure I will fit in the size 14 they have. I may need to have a little taken in and since I will be wearing basic sandals, the length will be ok. They have it listed as 5'8 with shoes. So 5'9 in flats should be good.
So by the end of the weekend I need to just make a decision. What do guys think?
Well got to go. Have a good weekend
Crystal,
i love the one with the straps. Y don't u "force" yourself to go to one of those bridal stores just to try on different styles just to see which style you like the best on. I never know which one I'll love until it's on. Then with that knowledge, go wherever to get your dress. Next my dear one, I think instead of looking at this as "something to wear", think of this like "the dress I am going to wear to look beautiful on my wedding day to please my husband". U will never have the opportunity again to do that. This is the day u will be a princess. Dress for it! I promise u, it will mean more to u, if you do this for yourself. And don't put it off. Hugs!!!!!
