We had an interesting say yesterday. Our water company issued a boil order, they found traces of E-Coli in one of the wells. So, if you went to any store in Streator that sells water, it was gone. Hubby managed to get 2 cases of bottled water before he came home from work, and when we went to Ottawa for dinner last night, we stopped at Farm and Fleet and they had plenty, so we got another case. Even if we don't use it all, it will be good to take on trips with us.

This boil order is for 4 to 5 days, you can bath in it, but anything else, it must be boiled for 5 minutes. A bit of a chore, but better safe then sorry.

We got 7 big boxes of yarn delivered yesterday--300 lbs! Five of us worked five hours to get it checked in and shelved but we have half to do today! OMG what were we thinking? So that's what we'll be doing today.

Hi Everyone,

Where did the week go? I cannot believe it's been so long since I managed to get on. I have not been on the computer much this week.

G is in Indiana working his consultant job today so i slept in til 9am! I must have needed it. I hope I can fall asleep tonight, with having to get up an hour early for church tomorrow.

I am doing my half day of cooking for the next week. I also have some puttin' around here and there, in this too big house.

Found out yesterday we are probably 30K underwater in order to sell our house. I was so dismayed! There is a house 4 doors down from us that is on the market for 60K that is bigger than ours! Some of my neighbors are talking about buying it and then flipping it to keep their home values up. But I think that is a ridiculous reason to do this. The 4 bedroom houses in this subdivision sold 20 years ago starting at 170K. G and I have lived here 11.5 years and it hurts to know we have no equity in our house. The realtor said there are 17 homes in our subdivision listed as short sales and there are 14 homes empty and in foreclosure. We did the math; and we will never own this home before retirement age and the taxes are too high for us to live here after we retire.........decisions. All the money from the sale of our last house is gone and we would have been better to just put it under a mattress and rented something. In hind sight we should have never sold our last house to move for our jobs. Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Connie, 300 units of yarn sounds like a a bunch. I think it will be as much fun as work for you.

Lisa, it isn't until we cannot flush our toilets or turn the faucet on do we realize how much we take running water for granted. Hang in there.

Crystal, enjoy your engagement party. It sounds like your honey comes from a lovely family. Boy that is a big bonus when we marry.

Carla, you are just in time for some warmth...or should i say, just in time to experience no Siberian temps while you are here for Vinny.

I got here to Chicago just in time for rush hr!!!! I94 was pack from i69 to Chicago!!!

Dawn suggested a meet up when she got back from NC!! I'll be around till the 19 I think. I might look at apartments in Skokie. I'm going to rent here and keep our rezidense in Florida too. I'm looking for a very small 1 bedroom or a studio.

My kids are moving to the suburbs in June.

Good afternoon Chris and the rest of Illinois!

I am in Conway, SC at Coastal Carolina University in Liv's dorm room.  They went to the basketball tournament, but it isabout 60 and sunny outside and I just can't see sitting in a crowded gym when I can be out enjoying the weather.  I am checking a couple things on the computer, then I am going exploring.  Probably to the beach for some walking and reading.  Depending on how the team does (ESPN is here, so it is a big deal) we will decide what to do from here.  I think we are going to Clearwater to see the dolphin, my nieces and maybe check out Eckerd College for her Master's.

The trip down was fantastic!  I went at MY pace and stopped just before I had to do any winter driving.  God has my back, that's for sure!
