Tuesday Roll Call
Hi My Dear Ones,
I am better today, yesterday I did laundry like I planned, but about 10a the sugar withdrawals started derailing me. I just kept drinking water and stayed on target. With lots of prayer, I stayed on track and went to bed early. I even missed my meeting, but felt so much better this am. We will see what the day brings. I am also fasting eggs, gluten, corn, soy, dairy, and sugar/sweeteners and peanuts.
Today is food shopping day. I am also taking my daughter and grandbabies to Kohls to return some things and exchange. It is G's birthday so I am planning on getting home early so I can make his steak dinner that he requested. I love easy peasy and I will also be able to have that.
Wow, Dawn. You are doing so well with the bike. I started my journey with exercise first and I think it is a great way to start our bodies and minds on the new lifestyle we need to be healthy. I will start praying for your journey to fitness and good health. Yes, Michael left Columbia with minimal debt. He has been out of school for 18 months and has no debt. His tuition was 68K per year and he funded most of it with grants and scholarships. He was as excited about the $500.00 grants as the $5000.00 ones. He said he treated it like a part-time job he did from his desk at home. He kept an excel spread sheet and said every year got easier because he just reapplied for the ones he previously got. I know he got some from weird places like Subway and Walmart. They are everywhere and so many go untouched.
Connie looks like she is having an amazing time in Australia.
Where is Carla?????
Hugs to my friends today as we go through this day. Hey March is only 18 days away and 26 days to Daylight savings time!!!!!!!!!!!
Hugs
Sharon
Hello everyone
I am having a long dragging day....it's one of those days that won't end. At least it's almost over.
I brought up the spending thing yesterday because although I am not a big spender. I mean after I finish paying off a loan in April I am debt free. Greg is saver and although I share a lot of his beliefs in money I also believe with some things you get what you pay for and I would rather spend money on something good quality and have it last awhile, rather pay rock- bottom prices on junk. Like furniture...I have good furniture. Or gym shoes (I always get a good shoe so I won't have trouble with my joints). So I think that might be where we will butt heads a little. But he doesn't seem to mind spending on vacations or evenings out...because he says he wants to get out and live. Which is funny because that is where I always scrimped and saved...hahaha!!! We will definitely have to compromise. Well a good sign is he doesn't seem to think me going to get my hair done every other month is a big deal. When we were doing a preliminary budget for when we have our house I added that in and he didn't say anything. I mean he was married before so I guess he does know women have "expenses"...LOL!!!!
Today I am making cilantro lime chicken....with pasta on the side (I don't like rice). I have to go to Walgreens again. My doctor didn't approve my RX because I had to make an appointment with him. I hate when they do that. Can they warn you??? Instead they hold your medicine hostage!!! So I have to go again today to get it.
My daughter has about $15K of debt and that was with scholarships and working part time. But I could only help her so much she had to finance most of it herself. I did the little things like keep her on my cell phone package till she graduated and carried her insurance for her.
Anyway....back to the grind. Have a good day all.
