Hi & good morning everyone,

How's everyone doing?

T.G.I.F.. Today I feel somewhat better. Looks like the antibiotics is working for me and getting rest is helping too.

Not sure what to do for today, I guess I'll play it by ear for today. I hear that we're going to get temps. near the 40's for this weekend, I hope so. The Chicago Blackhawks have a game today and I hope they end their two game losing streak, Let's Go Hawks!

Over the weekend I'll see my aunt. Looking forward in seeing her. Not sure what we'll be doing when I see her besides going grocery shopping.

What's going in part of your world for today and the weekend?

Have a great day everyone.

Hello everyone

I have been so busy at work trying to fit 50 hours of work in a 40 hour week.  They are not allowing overtime but not less work.   In fact gave me extra duties.  It is my job now to issue insurance on the work sites (we are a constructions company).  And we just went through a name change so on top of just learning I got a ton of requests for new certificates with the new name.  And add to that the audit and my regular work...and no overtime!!!  I have been running on 100 mph to get it all done in the 40 hours allowed!!!  On the good side it made the work week go by really fast.

But I have had a headache every day this week!!!

I am ready to relax this weekend.  Tonight I am doing absolutely nothing and I'm going to love it.  I am not even going to cook because it's Chipotle night!!!!  Tomorrow we are meeting up with Brenda and her hubby because his church wants to upgrade their technology and they know what Greg does for his church and so it they are asking him to help them out.  So we are meeting them at their church tomorrow to go over what it is they want.  Then afterwards we will go out for dinner.

I have been loving my greek yogurt.  My new favorite flavor is, strawberry cheesecake.  I swear it tastes just like the filling of a cheesecake...I could add a graham cracker and it would be a cheesecake.  And it's only 80 calories and...I think 12 grams of protein.  Yummy.

Well back to work...hope it's 4pm soon.  Have a good day all.

Hi Jason and IL,

I worked all day yesterday outside and stayed warm with lots of layers on. The sun was magnificent yesterday. Not so much today.

Jason glad you are feeling better. i have not been sick this year so far...Thanks God!!!!!! But I have aches and pains from my bad diet and working out. G got me a "Shine" and it logs water work outs unlike the Fitbit. I love it, but like the Fitbit it makes me push harder to achieve the goals for the day. I had over 10K steps when I left work yesterday and then went to the pool because swimming helps with the aches and pains of working in the cold.  The best part of getting the Shine was giving my new Fitbit to my hubby. He put it on and has been consistently walking 10K steps everyday! He has lost 10 lbs and feels better.

Crystal, enjoy your weekend and rest. It sounds very stressful at work right now.

Connie, enjoy Australia and New Zealand.

Nancy, I think slowly but surely all the big companies are going to get bought out by the biggest and we are going to have less choices as consumers. I'm sorry you are going thru another merge/buy out at your job. When I recenly re-did my resume I noticed that every job except my last one ended because of a buy out. It is the natural progression of things in the world we now live in...the big fish are gobbling up the smaller fish. On different note, I heard today that there may be a new law passed later this month that all internet will be the same speed, super fast. I guess there is legislation to break up companies from offering the fast one for the most expensive price. It will be an even playing field...good for us consumers if the law passes.

Lisa, yesterday when I left for work at 5a, G was stuck in the driveway. Since he was blocking the driveway exit we were now both stuck. It seems being late for work, was enough for G to finally admit he is not happy with not having a snow blower. He went to our neighbors garage to get the snow blower and it wasnt there! Guess our neighbor lent it to his neighbor who moved more than a year ago. The only reason we found out is because their neighbor told G when he asked if that neighbor could snow blow the driveway for us. The drama of it all......I ordered one from the manufacturer since all the stores are out of mid point snow blowers. We will have it next week.

Today I have to clean the church and then lunch with a friend and then grocery shopping. I am not buying any junk just healthy stuff. My plan is to switch just fruit for snacking. I know its not the greatest for weight loss, but I need to do this in baby steps. Bye bye cookies.

Carla, I am sorry about not being able to go to temple due to their financial constraints. We christians do not deal with this in small non-denominational churches, but we have other head aches. Nobody wants to volunteer and the church has no mony to hire, so the few that do volunteer are over used and get burnt out quickly. Cant you just go to temple without joining? Is that not an option. I'd love to learn more about this.

Well, my friends have a great Friday.

Hugs,

Sharon

Sharon-  I know everyone is different but I snacked all of the time on fruit and lost lots of weight.  I think because you stop eating all of the processed garbage your body can "process" the natural stuff much easier.  Sure there are carbs and calories but healthy carbs and calories in comparison(if you ask me your body can burn it faster and easier than the garbage).  If you have to choose one is much better.  And I say it's not a diet it's life style change.  Are we going to stop snacking forever....I think not.  So stop what we are snacking on to more healthy choices. And to me fruit is a great choice.  Especially dark fruits...like blueberries.  They're a super food!!!

Thanks for the encouragement Crystal...I feel like I need a different way of combating this battle of the bulge....all the new books say slowly switch out the bad for good. So I am trying this instead of cold turkey which works for 4 weeks and then I begin to fail. I bought lots of frozen organic blueberries and raspberries and lots of organic apples. Please pray for me. Hugs, Sharon

I just got home from running errands, and need to put food away, but, this is more important. :) When the sun is out, it almost feels warm. I stayed out for a few minutes, just to breath in the clean air.

Sharon I understand your surprise that Jews have to pay membership dues to go to Temple. When I was young, I was surprised that people who went to church, could give every week. To me, it is normal to only give 1st a year, and everyone gives the same amount.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Hugs,

Lisa
