Friday Roll Call
Connie, I hope you are coming along better then I am on my puzzle. Hubert in his wisdom, bought a 2000 piece "Christmas Cookie" puzzle when we went to Bronners this summer. I finally started working on it last Sunday, and can't even get the frame together! Iwill plow away at it, and hopefully, have it done by next Christmas. Then, I will donate it to either Goodwill or take it to the nursing home where my cousin lives. I know I won't do it again!
Heading to Bloomington later today, to pick up Morgan. I think we will be cooking and baking bread tomorrow.
Have a great weekend,
Hugs,
Hello everyone
I have a puzzle too. But I was waiting for a really snowy weekend to work on it. You know one of those weekends where you just want to stay in and go no where. Well that's me all winter long...but with a puzzle I have an excuse to stay in!!! My puzzle is a Game of Thrones puzzle. I love that TV show.
Well this weekend I would like to finally get to the movies to see Gone Girl...I never did do that last weekend. Then we are shopping for a new bedding set at Bed Bath and Beyond. And Sunday we are going into the city to eat at some pizza place that we saw on "diners, dives and drive-ins". We are meeting some friends there. Tonight will be a relaxing one once I get home after running around.
I can't sing enough praises about Greg. Do you know he scrapes off my car every morning so I don't have to. So nice. As far as the wedding plans go...he always says "as long as you're happy". We are lucky because of some traveling for work ha has enough points through Southwest to get us round trip tickets!!!
On another note my boss told me she didn't like the format of one of the spreadsheets that we have and if I have any ideas let her know. So I cam up with my own spreadsheet and emailed it to her and she loved it!!! She said it was the one we will use from now on. And she like my initiative!!! Yeah!!! Finally a boss that compliments me and not tear me down!!!
Lisa- baking bread sounds like a wonderful idea....hmmm.
Well I better get back to work. See you all later.
Good afternoon Lisa and the rest of Illinois!
I am catching up on my computer work this afternoon and just about done. I went to the 9 am meeting and had the rest of the day to myself.
I got Liv all straightened out so she can finish the semester with no big worries. I feel better about that.
I am really trying to figure out what to make for dinner but nothing sounds appealing. Oh well, it will come.
I went to see a GI doctor on Wednesday about my elevated liver numbers. He ordered an ultrasound and some more specific blood tests. He said that liver numbers are often false alarms, but it needs to be checked. He seemed more concerned about my Iron/Ferretin levels, which are HIGH off the charts. As a RNY patient, I should have low iron issues but no. Four years ago, I took iron faithfully to keep the Ferretin close to "100". Three years ago, it jumped to "237", I was happy. Less than a year later, it jumped to "660" and I stopped taking supplements. Last year, it was down to about "475" and this year it is "438". He says that there is a disease that can cause high iron and he is checking for that. So, back to Monroe on Thursday of next week.
Todd and I are heading to Madison tomorrow. He is attending a Beer and Cheese Festival at the Alliant Center and I will entertain myself on State Street and go to Joe's. We are staying overnight and will go somewhere for dinner; I just haven't decided where. Connie, if you have any suggestions, let me know.
That's about it for me!
