Hola Peeps,

I had an early start today. I took my son in law to O'Hare at 5:30a. Then I went straight to the gym and swam. I am working toward 70 lengths. I am hoping to hit this by next week...........

Today I think I am going to make a pot of chili and a pot of hamburger soup.

Not much else is going on.........

Stay warm!

Hugs,

Sharon

Hello everyone

My dinner worked out really well.  I had lots of leftovers though.  But I always do a day that we just have leftovers for dinner.

Tonight, I am making meatloaf.  His request.  He loves my meatloaf.

The flourless chocolate cake was more for Greg.  He is Diabetic.  And I am playing with recipes that are low carb and low sugar.  So with this one because I used no flour and used Truvia instead of sugar...the only sugar was coming from the dark chocolate.  I did put fresh strawberries on top....but just a couple.  I am playing with the recipe.  Next time I want to put in some vanilla and nuts.  I just figured if he gets as much enjoyment from this as he does from the "real" chocolate cake then he will stop cheating!!!  And it was delicious...it had a cheesecake consistency and very rich.  I was thinking you could make it with milk chocolate too if you wanted to...I am going to try that.

Well back to work...I'm trying REALLY hard to stay warm...it's not working!!!!  Have a good day all!!!

Happy Monday Everyone!

I had good intentions of going to work today.  Got up, showered, washed hair, got dressed etc.  Went to start my car and it did not start with the remote.  Hmmm.    Ate breakfast and headed out the door got in the car and it would not even turn over but the lights and everything would come on.    Came back inside and called into to work and let them know I would not be there.  It broke my heart.  After all, it was Monday the first full week after a holiday when a lot of businesses  had been closed for 2 weeks and a full moon so I REALLY wanted to be at work.    Oh well,  I survived.

When Rick got up, he discovered his car would not start either.  We called our mechanic.  Got his voice service and left a message.  He called back and said that HIS car would not start either.   but he had a friend coming over to jump him and he would come over in an hour.  Yes, I have a mechanic that makes house calls.  How cool is that?  Anyhoo,, he came over and it started right up but discovered that my battery was shot.  It was over 4 years so time for a new one.  It never dawned on me.  So one new battery later I am good to go unless we get snowed in tomorrow.

Gage is here now!  It is good to see him!  He will be here almost a week.

Crystal, when the weather gets nicer, you and Greg will have to come out this way to hike at Starved Rock State park or Mathesion.  Both are marvelous for hiking.  Or what the heck, people hike on the trails in winter as well!  The bald Eagles hang around our lock and dam in the winter.

Sharon, you are doing great with your exercises and recovery plan.  I am so proud of you.

Dawn, I am also so proud of you.  To make it through new years eve and the holidays was a tough challenge.  Congrats!

Lisa, be careful out there in your travels in this cold winter weather.

Everyone have a great evening.

Nancy- It's funny you say that because just a couple of days ago I said when it gets nice out we have to go to Starved Rock and pack a nice lunch.  LOL....great minds.

I got up this morning, did the usual getting ready for work, got in the car and it started right up. Hubert had already brushed it off me.

Work was downright slow today. We had 2 clients come in, at the same time!

I am hoping I can get in tomorrow, I am working in town, but it will depend on if I can get out of the driveway. I also have an early DR. appointment (8:00 a.m.)

Leftovers tonight.

Stay warm.

Hugs,

Lisa

Hi everyone,

Sorry that I haven't been around lately. But the last seven (7) days has been really depressing for me. My last doctor's appointment (12/29/2014) with my apnea doctor and see took the data  from the card from my BiPAP machine and the setting on it is not helping my obstructive apnea & central apnea, on top of that not only that chiari decompression surgery in March of 2014 help some of the apnea, but it still shows that I have apnea and not only that and it all depends how much damage the Chiari Malformation Type 1 I may or may have apnea for the rest of my life. I've been using a CAPA (at one point) then over to a BiPAP for the last 20 or so years. AT one point I was also using a concentrator at one point with my apnea machine (no loner us it for some time now). Also when I had my appointment (12/29/2014) I wanted to make an appointment with my chari doctor for my one (1) year follow-up mark for Mach 2015 and quest what!!! I found out that my chiari doctor left the hospital and went to Arizona!! What else is new!!!! I'll get a letter in the mail to let me know that the doctor left and I'll get the name of my new chiari doctor. Life really f'ing sucks for me at this point for me over the last seven (7) days!!!!! I do have a sleep study test tomorrow night (11/06/2015), on this sleep study test is to get new settings for my BiPAP machine so is can manage whatever obstructive apnea & central that remains. I hate my f'ing apnea and I hate having f'ing chiari!!!!! I HATE IT!!!!! Over the last seven days been one crazy f'ing week! At this point I just want kick life in the @$$ and tell life to kiss my f'ing @$$, I'm sorry for using that kind of language!!

I'm sorry everyone, it's been one really bad week for me. I needed to vent big time. Once again everyone, I'm sorry for the language I used. I hope I feel better tomorrow once I get out of bed and start my day on a good note (I hope).

Have a great night everyone.

Hi Jason,

I am so sorry things are not working the way you had wanted. Sleep deprivation effects everything. I know it's been a long road for you and right now things are very frustrating. When I get to the point where i just want to run away from life, I try to find a place where i can sit quietly, pray and give my problems to God. When frustration is so bad i cant pray, I ask others to pray for me. It doesnt take long for the peace to come.

Heavenly Father, I ask that Jason feel Your soothing presence. Father, your son is suffering and needs Your healing and peace. Come into those places where he feels helpless. Break the power of frustration and tension and instead provide only the healing holy peace You alone can extend. Show him You are in the details as well as the day to day events of his life. Give him a new doctor who is better than any other he has had. Bring your kingdom to Jason. May Your will prevail in his life. I break off any darkness in Jesus's name. Amen.

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} I will keep praying for you.

Sharon

Hi Sharon & good morning,

Thank you. You got that right about sleep deprivation, I even have insomnia (I think it might be on the mild side {I hope}). It's been a long road, 2014 been a wild ride for me, three (3) surgeries, two (2) E.R. visits, one (1) of my doctors left (this makes back to back year one {1} of my doctors that left {one [1] in 2013 & one [1] in 2014}), when I found out that my chiari doctor had left, I was thing at that time which one of my doctors is going to leave in 2015, all this on this long road and what I went though is very frustrating. I've been there when it gets to that point for me, I vent some in a good way possible, after that I'll listen to some music and/or listen to music let alone go into a quite spot to clam down and it dose help and when I go to bed that night and when I wake up the next day I feel better (75% to 100% better), I do feel better this morning. Should like you have a plan when things get bad for you, I should try that too.

Thank you so very much for the prayer, it helped me. I do feel much better now. Thank you again.

((((((((((hugs)))))))))), thank you.

Jason.
