Monday Roll Call
Better late than never.
We had a full week-end with service at Willow and then yesterday we did a major walking tour of Glen Ellyn and a little bit of Wheaton. Glen Ellyn wins hands down. Wheaton was a little run down and did not have as many small business owners/restaurants. We are going to check out Elmhurst eventually. This will be at the far east end of where we would want to go but it has a great small business downtown area also. All towns have either condos, apartments or town houses near the town center. All towns have a beavy of churches to choose from also.
I have been doing a major purge of junk and what nots in the house that we really do not need anymore nor use. I look forward to getting into the kitchen cabinets to dejunk there also. And before you say have a garage sale - NO. I do not want to keep the junk around that long nor want to deal with having the sale. RESALE shop here I come.
What is going on in your corner of IL?

Good afternoon Chris and the rest of Illinois!
I am home for an hour or so before I head back into Freeport. I went to Aldi's to get some things for some soups and chilis that I feel like making.
Not too much else happening here in the west.
Sounds exciting to be looking for new digs. I thought you were looking to move to Wisconsin though?
I looked but could not find the answer.....did Carla have surgery? Is she ok?
Gotta find some dinner.....everyone have a great evening!
We have done a lot of thinking on it. We would love to be close to the Cheddar Curtain/state line but all of my family is here in the area of Itasca/Elgin/Fox Lake and in between. In addition that our doctors and dentist is here also. We have fantastic hospitals and with my bowel disease and obstructions I need one close by. We want to be in walking distance to a commuter train line, restaurants, shopping, churches to name a few. Though Glen Ellyn does not have a grocery store right downtown there always is Peapod! Glen Ellyn has all the other places to go to and all near the train and you can walk to it. It even has a small movie theater. I used to go to it when I was a kid. They still run recent released movies. We are looking to first rent and then buy a condo.
