Monday Roll Call
Good Morning from Niagara Falls.
We are going to see the American side of Niagara Falls this morning. A GrayLine tour will be doing the driving. We spent Friday night and Saturday at Put-in-Bay, Ohio. It was a nice place to visit, but we probably won't go back. It is really a younger crowd, frat boy ages that go there.
We met up with Monica and family at Erie, Pa, yesterday, and went to the Lucy Desi museum in Jamestown, NY. That was fun.
Yes, we all need to support Christine. She is really the one who got the Illinois board rolling, nine ten years ago.
Dawn, when does Liv leave?
Hugs,
Hi friends,
We went to Madison to knit with friends and had a great time. One of the women is totally funny and we laugh and laugh! Driving home was a bit of adventure with really heavy rain, but we need the moisture.
I had a fresh apricot today. I didn't think it tasted as good as the dried ones. I think I'll stick with mangoes and raspberries!
Hope each of you is doing well.
Connie

Good evening Lisa and the rest of Illinois!
I am up late doing some computer work that has been piling up while I am doing other stuff each day.
Liv leaves next Wednesday. She is finally getting in gear and doing the things that have needed to be done. We will drive her and her stuff down as she is not taking her car. We don't really think that she will need it, but that may change. If so, I might just have to drove it down for her another time. Todd has taken off until the next Tuesday or Wednesday, so we are in no big hurry. We will spend a few days down there then head home. We are also trying to get to all her "last" wishes fulfilled since she won't be back this way until Christmas.
To that end, we are going to Great America on Wednesday. We are taking Riley for her first visit. It should be fun. A few of Liv's friends are joining us. Friday I have to do the last Open Market in Freeport. I have to take some time to get a few more products made before then, probably tomorrow.
Sending love to Christine and Dave, along with Sharon and Nancy and all others that I am missing from here.
Have fun at Great America!! That is one of my goals.. I LOVE great America, but haven't gone in at least 14 yrs, last time I went the Batman ride almost didn't fit (the guy had to push the bar with extra force) I was mortified... I've been sadden that I haven't been able to go. So my goal is that when my son turns 16yrs (i'll be 2yrs post op) that we will go and will get on every damn ride!!!! LOL
Have a blast for me in the mean time!!
Jess
Hi Jess!
Yes, it was one of my goals also. Not only to fit comfortably on the rides, but to be able to do all the walking involved. I have been a couple of times since my surgery (now almost 8 years ago) and had a great time. Hopefully, you will hear soon from insurance and get this show on the road. It is a roller-coaster in itself!
