My Right Hip Replacement Surgery Update.
Good afternoon everyone,
I'm doing great since I had my right hip replaced two weeks ago today. I can't believe it's been that long already. I'm in rehab for further care for my right hip so I can get my right hip healed. Therapy is going great I reached most of my goals and still have a few more to go. I do have a follow-up with my surgeon on August 6, 2014 in the morning time/, hopefully I'll find out soon on when I can go back home from my appointment let alone from my therapy people. I have therapy about five to six times a week.
I'll try to update on what my doctor has to say at my appointment next week.
I hope everyone is doing good since the last time I check in here.
Have a great evening everyone and take care.

Thank you Diane. You got that right, but I'm doing great, so far so go with the results of my new right hip. Most of the pain is gone, but I'm still on pain meds.. I have a follow-up with my surgeon on August 6, 2014, I wonder what my surgeon has to say at the appointment. I'll find out when I go to it.
Thanks again Diane.

I was wondering about you the other day. I am 6 weeks post op on my right hip. I walked today 1 mile. I returned to work last week. I did my own therapy, to keep down my cost. I feel like a new woman! I had my left hip done 3 years ago, so now I have a matched set! I am also now the same height on both sides. The left side had left me 3/4 of an inch taller. Like I said I feel so much better! Prayers for you a speedy recovery!

You have? Thank you. Wow! Six weeks? I'm about two and a half weeks post-op on my right hip and my next joint replacement will be my right knee and then some times after that I'll have my left hip replaced, I can't wait to get them replaced. That's great that you walked one mile, How did it go for you? Cool. Wow, I bet to keep the cost down. Great to hear that you feel like a new woman. I feel like a new man so far myself. Great that you have a set of new hips, I can't wait to have a new set of hips myself. Great to hear that you are at the same height on both sides now. Really? 3/4th of an inch taller? Cool. Thank you so very much for the prayers and the speedy recovery!
Jason.

It is so good to hear that you are doing so well. I have been thinking about you and wondering how you were doing since surgery! I love to hear positive stories on how these surgeries make people feel so much better! I know you did not want to do it this soon but so glad that the pain is getting behind you! Glad you are moving around so much better!
Hope things are going well for you!

I am so glad that you are doing well. I am sorry it is taking me so long to get back to your post. I have not even read my mail the last two days but instead have fallen asleep before I got to it! I've been tired.
It is always good when you are reaching those goals in therapy! Are you in the hospital or in a skilled care arrangement? Hope you get sprung soon. Nothing feels better than home and your own bed!
I wish you a speedy recovery! Go impress those pt people!

Nancy,
Thank you, so am I. Same here, I'm been so busy lately and when I do have the time I'm just tired and there are other people that uses the computer here where I'm at and there can be meetings in the same room (library), that's alright, that's been me lately, when I get home (not sure when) I hope I have more time to post and more by then. You'll have time at some point down the road, I've been there myself.
It is, it's rewarding. I'm in a skilled care arrangement for the last15 days at least and it's been 18 or so days since I had my right hip surgery, it doesn't feel likes it's been that long. I hope so too, I hope I find out soon and once I find out I'll try to post it here as soon as I can. That's so true, home sweet home, I can't wait.
Thank you so very much to you Nancy and everyone else that's been there for me, thank you. I will.
Have a great evening and great week.
