Hi Peeps,

Yesterday I went to my best friend's son's 40th birthday party. I recall when we were 40 and having fun. Time sure flies! It was a fun time but the huge storm and sheets of rain brought us inside.

A regular Sunday for me...church and no hard plans for the later part of the day.

I have been waking early every morning 3am ,with the weirdest most awful pain in the center of my back. It feels like a knife is being screwed into my back. I have been going to the chiro for adjustments and getting prayer, but the darn thing has been hanging on...2 weeks now. It has to be better before the 30th when I start working again, or I will be a zombie from no sleep.

Crystal, I am so glad I forgot you were sky-diving yesterday. I would have been worrying all day. The weather must not have affected that area.

Lisa, it sounds like you had a full lovely day shopping.

Nancy, I am so glad you are starting to feel better. I read yesterday, now there is an intestinal flu going around IL, WI and IA. Ugh. Prayers we all stay healthy.

I miss Christine and Randy. Hoping they are having a ball wherever and watever they are doing.

Jason, I am praying this surgery is a great success and the after surgery PT as well.

Dawn, you look so happy on FB......I am tickled.

Connie, my dear one, I know it has to hurt a little to be asked to leave your old stomping grounds, but what a beautiful journey that entire situation has caused. You and Kay business owners!

Carla. did you blow in yesterday with the storm??

Well my Peeps, I am off to try and get ready for my day.

Bessings!

Sharon

Hello everyone

My ears are still popping from the dive.  But I knew that would happen.  The last plane trip I had my ears popped for almost a week.  My ears are just so sensitive.  They always have been.  If I had the time and the inclination I would do the tubes in my ears my doctor suggested.  But I just can't justify time off from work for something that like that.  It's not surgery that is life saving like my gallbladder or lap band.

We were so lucky yesterday.  After we got to the sky diving place and checked in and signed all the waivers and went through the training.  It was a beautiful day outside. We went up in the plane did the jump.  Went back in and they undid our harnesses.  Got in the car and I'm not kidding as we pulled away it started to rain!!!  I even joked that god must have wanted us to dive because he didn't let it rain until after we were done...LOL!!!  They won't jump in bad weather so we were nervous about the weather all week.

Well today is not so exciting.  I want to get a pedicure and go to Meijer and Target and Bed Bath and Beyond.  I have some cleaning to do around here.  And then that's it.

Nancy- We did go through Sky Dive Chicago but it was in Beliot Wi.  and I would go through them again.  The guy I had was awesome.  As we were floating down he said to me "so how do you like my office and this is my view"  Hahaha...I loved it.  I'm glad you're feeling better.  These Summer colds are the worse.

Dawn- your party looked awesome.  she will love her college years.  Amanda loved hers and hated to leave them behind.  I hope Liv loves hers as much.

Connie- You are such an awesome person and I'm sure you are dealing with that petty person perfectly.

Jason-  Amen to you dealing with all of these surgeries.  But when you are done you will be practically bionic and ready to go!!!

I just realized we get the 4th off which is a Friday this year...YEAH!!!

Ok well time to get going and stop being lazy.  Have a great day all.

Good evening,

Sorry to hear (read) that your ears are still popping from the dive. I don't think I'll that in my lifetime since I have a fear of heights. Wow, that long from the last plane trip? I know my ears popped some from the times I went to and from Arizona and it didn't last to long from what I remember. One of these days (I hope) I'll face my fear of heights long enough to do a zipline. It doesn't  matter if it's hear in Illinois or in Arizona.

Thank you. Once I'm done with my joint replacements I'll ask the doctor if he can do surgery on my whole body so I can become the next Robocop.

Have a good evening.

Beloit is not too far from here.....you could have stopped by.  The rain was right as our party was beginning.

Tell someone that you love them!

Sharon.  this sounds weird but do you still have your gallbladder?  Back when i was getting gallbladder attacks it started in the center of my back.  The pain went straight through like a knife from my back to my front.  I knew right away it was my gallbladder because I just had a close friend go through the exact same thing and described the same symptoms so I thought this must be it.  And sure enough they did an ultrasound and I was told I was full of gall stones.  Just putting that out there in case it's not your back.

Happy Morning,

It is a beautiful day out. A bit humid, but it is summer in Illinois.

No big plans today, I think I might start to rearrange the living/rec room. Since we will be putting in a new door, to get to the basement, where the sofa is just won't work. It hasn't been rearranged in who knows how long.

A pork tenderloin for dinner. I think I will smoke it. Sweet potatoes, fresh green beans and fresh pinapple will round out the Sunday dinner. I have never gotten out of the habit of making a big Sunday dinner. My Mom did it, so did my grandmothers. Of course, that leaves leftovers for Monday night.

Christine should be on her cruise to Alaska.

Jason, I agree with Sharon. You will be a bionic man.

Dawn, the pictures are great.

Connie, if you had to leave your former knitting place, its her loss, since you brought other knitters with you. Oh well. It is her loss and your gain.

Carla, are you with Vinnie this morning?

Nancy, I am glad you are feeling better.

Crystal, have a relaxing day.

Hugs,

Lisa

Lisa, I need to also get into the habit of making a Sunday dinner. I also would like to get into the habit of meal planning. Just got home from the ER. The pain was so debilitating I simply had to go see what the heck is going on. SHINGLES. I am off to bed. Thank ggodness for air conditioning, soft beds and prescription drugs.

Hugs,

Sharon

Hi friends,

Sharon, shingles! How awful! My daughter had them at 28. I got the shot as soon as I could. But at least it doesn't require surgery!

Yes, it's a mixed blessing to be asked to leave the yarn store. As you said, all of my friends I brought there, left there. The owner even sent a "spy" to stop in and see if we were selling yarn (not till July 1) and of course we weren't. The woman brought her dog and I had to tell her our lease doesn't permit animals. She wasn't happy about that. She's a good friend of the other shop owner so I'm sure she was sent on a "mission" because she'd have no other reason to stop. I was amused by the whole thing. Today a friend got the cash drawer and the receipt printer working--what a blessing! People have been so supportive!

Tomorrow we go to Madison to knit with friends. We need a day off. Then Fri-Sun we go to the National Womens' Music Festival in Madison and we'll be able to hang out with friends there too. Then the real fun starts!

Hope you all had a good weekend!

Connie
