Friday Roll Call

Hello everyone

Getting ready.  Today will be a good day.  Work is treating up to a horse show.  So no work today!!!!  But they still pay us!!!  They do this every year.  The controller owns a couple of horses and likes to share her love of horses with us.  So they rent out the gazebo and cater lunch (which thankfully if usually healthy) and we si****ch and it's a really nice day.  I'm just hoping my allergies behave!!!

Then later I'm meeting someone and we are shopping for groceries.  She is trying to eat healthier and she asked me to help her make good choices at the grocery store.  I can understand her feeling overwhelmed.  I remember feeling the same way before I got into my groove and found things I liked.  And understood what to eat and what to eat occasionally.

Which by the way I think I am going to get serious again about trying to lose this last bit of weight.  I am only 20lbs from my goal.  It would feel great to hit that goal.  Then I would have a normal BMI...can you imagine!!!

So what are you all up to today???

Well gotta get going.  See you all later...bye

Hi Crystal and Everyone,

I am going to a funeral/wake (again!) this morning and then I am free as a bird. I am hoping to just not do much today since I was so busy yesterday.

We took the grandbabies to a very cool restaurant yesterday called 2 Toots. It is a simple diner in Glen Ellyn that has a train track with trains running around the place bringing you the food you ordered. The kids love Thomas so it was a hit. They sell only grass fed beef and offer a healthy option like gluten free buns. The food was delish! Apparently they are popping up in other areas as well.

Crystal, you know I know so much about what to eat and not to eat but I cannot seem to lose the last 70 lbs. Perhaps you should think about making this shopping thing a part-time gig. You obviously know what to do to be successful and you clearly enjoy it as well.

Well, I am off. Congrats to Dawn who very proudly posted a scholarship Olivia received on FB. Cheers

Hugs!

Sharon

Good Morning,

We went to the play last night, between rain storms. It was ok, but I wouldn't waste money to see it again.

Today is shopping. No plans for this evening, but tomorrow I am going to the mall in LaSalle, with my daughter Annette. She needs a few things, and I want to stop at Good Will and Hobby Lobby.

Crystal, have fun today.

Sharon, At, least, enjoy your day after the wake,

Dawn, you and Todd should be so proud of Liv.

Nancy and Connie, Iknow you are both busy, but check in please.

Christine, is this your cruise week?

Hugs,

Lisa

Good afternoon everyone,

Today (06/20/2014) when I went down to the hospital's Pre-Operative Assessment Services to set-up an appointment for my test before I go in for my "Right Total Hip Arthroplasty" and I find out that I'm still scheduled for surgery on July 1, 2014 (which I first picked for that date, but a few days later I had to change the date for a personal reason, I changed it for July 8, 2014 and got it) and I was told the my doctor isn't doing surgery on July 8, 2014, I got a new date for my surgery and it's for July 16, 2014. Today been a long day for me. Time to rest for the rest of the day.

Congratulations on nearing your goal weight. I know you can do it.

Hi friends!

Yes, I've been busy, in fact, have probably never been this busy, ever! But we are almost ready for the opening, glitches and all. We were asked to stop knitting at the Woolgathering and so tomorrow our friends are knitting at our shop even though we are not officially open. Almost all the yarn has arrived and 90% is checked in and tagged with a barcode.  We will have to learn the rest thru experience! Last night we went to Winnebago Buy Local and met some local business people who could be of help to us. We are going to participate in an ice cream social on July 20. We'll get lots of exposure that way. Those of you closer by, it's a Sunday afternoon at the Lombardi club.

Hope all of you are doing well!

What?? Why did they ask you to stop knitting there???  Was this because of your yarn shop or something?  What ever it is it seems awfully rude to me

You bet, Crystal. It's because we now have a shop. We would never have considered this if she hadn't spent six months threatening to go out of business. Now that we are opening she decided to stay in business even though she has alienated every knitter in town with her negative attitude. Our friends ae coming here to knit today, so we'll have fun anyway!

I agree with Crystal! When I read this I thought "How Rude!!" Being rude to anyone, especially your competition can come back and bite you in the  rear.  Wait until her other customers find out about  this! Guess where they will now be shopping? Maybe she did you a favor,  Hmmm
