Thursday Roll Call
Good Morning!
We have blue skies again. It is going to be a perfect summer day!
The contractor is here to work on the basement again. Once he is done, we can get the boys to start on the walls ect. We may even have a basement entry by the end of summer. I will post pictures as soon as I can.
Weekend plans are to go to our daughter Annette's company picnic on Saturday. It is totally catered, nothing to bring except lawn chairs. That's the kind of party I like.
Carla, so sorry that you are down with shingles. Not nice.
Connie posted a picture of the new shop on FB. It looks great.
Today I want to change the sheets and clean the bedding in our bedroom. Then I will officially put the new quilt on. I am also doing some errands. What is going on in your corner of the world?
Hugs,
Good morning Lisa and the rest of Illinois!
Construction projects are so fun.....once they are finished!
Today, I am dropping David off for a court appearance on my way to my Continuing Care class. I will pick him up when my class is done. Then home to make and create for the sale. A meeting somewhere in there along with a possible movie tonight with Todd.
Tomorrow, more creating, a meeting and the chiro. Saturday, we volunteer at the AirFest. I am hoping that maybe Riley will come home with me Saturday night and help with some products. She likes to do it and it started out as our project together.
Everyone have a lovely day!
New crease in the day, I have to take the car into the shop. I have lost 5 lbs in air pressure over night. It goes in at 1.
Also, I can't do laundry today, ove dryer vents right where the guys are working. I will do that this evening.
Dawn, have fun creating. Don't forget to post a picture of your spot.
Hello everyone
I drove to Meijer as planned. Oh I miss that grocery store. They have a great selection of organic produce...but no organic meat to speak of. So I will pick up my meat today. While I was there I bought a new laundry basket...a pretty bamboo one. And I got more plants for the house. I didn't go to Goodwill. I will go on Saturday.
I have to say although it was painful at first I do feel better. It's like it was good to air out my feelings to Chris. Yesterday I felt really good. The best I felt in a month. I don't want to get ahead of myself but maybe the worst is over???
Lisa I also I lost some weight. Maybe the combination of stress and being sick. But I lost 5lbs. Which is always good. I have a doctor appointment on the 19th for my yearly physical. I have been really good the last few years about monitoring my health. I do have to go in for my yearly band check up too...but that costs me $200 (my insurance no longer covers the cost). So that will have to wait till next month.
Next Friday Joliet has a street fest that is modeled after New Orleans, in downtown Joliet. It costs $10 for the entry. I am trying to get people to come. So far I have 2 takers!!! Yeah!!! So maybe my birthday won't be such a boring lonely event.
Connie- I love the pic of your new shop too. I love the name...it's too cute.
Dawn- I know someone that is selling homemade cleaning products. So this kind of thing is really picking up. You will do a great.
Well back to work...ugh. Have a good day.
Good morning,
Off to the shop in a few minutes. I posted pictures on FB yesterday of the new signs. We used Winter Signs in Winnebago. Really nice folks if you need something. They even do banners.
I might even get to knit today. I don't think there are any deliveries coming that I have to be somewhere for, at least today.
I love the cool weather. I was missing Spring! I love to enjoy the outdoors when it is not so hot that I'm smothering. Not a humidity fan here! Had plenty of that in St. Louis and Carbondale--enough to last a lifetime!
Have a great day folks!
Connie
