Sunday Roll Call

Hello Everyone

Yesterday I had fun at my Derby party.  It really was a good time.  I never watched the Kentucky Derby before.  So it was a nice afternoon drinking mint juleps and hanging out with friends.

I have a confession it seems that the days I don't bother coming on here to post are the days I am feeling down.  I try to not let things bother me and get out there and have fun but when I'm alone (and that happens a lot when you live alone) I get lost in my thoughts and I start to obsess about why things went wrong and the exact time it went wrong....ugh.  I do know I seem to have some anger bubbling up inside me now more than sadness.  I just feel like he wasted my time and I feel a bit used.  I guess I should fill you in...I have a suspicion that he is back together with his EX and if this is the case he may have cheated on me with her.  But I refuse to investigate (meaning sneak around her house to find out) or call him to ask....because I need to just forget it and MOVE ON!!!! I keep telling myself if this is the case it is for the best and they should be together....they have kids.

I have been taking time to take care of myself and maybe do some self indulgent things here and there.  And hang out with friends and have fun.  I have been doing a lot of reading on meditation for a healthier lifestyle and I also bought some books on jealousy and how to overcome those feelings.  Because I know that was one issue I had in my last relationship. I just thought I would work on myself....inside and out.

Today I have to do laundry and call Amanda ( I still have to tell her me and Chris split up...I just don't want her to worry about me) and I am meeting some friends and we are going back to that place we went to in Oaklawn and making earrings.  And I am splurging and making Sterling silver ones.  They are more costly but if you split the cost with someone its not as bad.  I will post pictures later.  What are you guys up to???

Well have a great day all...see ya later

Good Morning Peeps,

I have been sleeping so good over the past couple days. Must be the "new" life I created this week. I got up early and ooops, no coffee. Drove to Starbucks (in my robe with wet hair) and now I am getting ready for this day. I am greeting at church so I have to get there early. Right now it looks lovely out there. I am staring out my office window and the ***** willow tree we planted a few years back for my mom (she loved them) is in bloom.

If it doesnt rain, I am thinking perhaps grilling. If not perhaps meatloaf. I have to go out to the yard and remove all the little orange flags. We were about to have a new vinyl fence installed last week, but I put the brakes on that until I find a job. My hubby stresses out when we spend money if I am unemployed. I also learned Friday I will not be eligible for unemployment until I work another week in another quarter. Funny!

Speaking of my hubby, things are really good. We found that sweet place again.

On that note, I am off.

Enjoy this day the Lord has given us.

Hugs,

Sharon

Good afternoon Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

Crystal, I am glad that you are taking care of yourself.  ALL of your feelings are valid and you have a right to feel them.  Meditation is awesome!  I learned about it in treatment.  It really does help calm the mind and re-center oneself.  I need to practice it more often.

Today is Liv's 18th birthday!  I am SO proud of her and having a nostalgic day.  Soon, I am going to go get cake, flowers and balloons and surprise her at work.

Now....for MY vent:  I guess they teach us "no expectations, no disappointment" for a reason.  Todd has done NOTHING to help with this weekend.  Yesterday, he attended a beer festival with our neighbor in Schaumburg.  I did not really mind, and the expectation was that since it ended at 6, they would be home for a late dinner.  Long story short.....he came to bed around 2 am.  This morning, he said that he guesses he "messed up" by not bringing me home left-overs.  YA THINK.....was that all?

Also....it was HIS idea to surprise Liv at her work.  His idea was to get everyone we could get together to go there to sing to her with the flowers, cake, balloons and such and maybe do a "conga line" and be silly.  She works from 11-4 today.  I asked him what time everyone is meeting.  He says that he "talked to 2 people" who said they would participate but didn't set up anything further because it is MY call as to when and where and all other details. GRRRRRR!!!!!  So...I am going to shower and leave for town and do it myself.  He has had 3 hours to make arrangements and is reading the paper.  He can come with me if he wishes but it is too bad that his lack of planning will make it less spectacular than it could have been.

Besides that, I am doing well.  I am using my tools for coping and staying spiritually fit.  Thanks for the VENT!  This is a safe place for me!

Everyone have a great day!

Good Afternoon Everyone!

It has been a BUSY day for us!  We have been running all day  We headed to Walmart this morning to pick up some needed items  I bought 3 beautiful hydranges.  I have wanted some for a long time.  I already have a spot to plant them in We were looking for in door/out door carpet for the catio as I am tired of worms being brought inside  Walmart did not have any but we picked up other needed items.   We then went to a sale held by a local Cops for Cancer organization  Then had lunch out, and headed to Menards.  We found the indoor/out carpet there as well as a new cushion for the deck glider and other things  Then we headed to the grocery store for the weekly shopping.  Now we are back home and Rick is just about finished hauling in groceries and our purchases.  Now we collapse

The cats are banned from the catio for a couple of more days  They are not happy about that  They want OUT!  Rick is remodeling and reinforcing it and right now it is without a roof.  They cant go out because the other day when I came home I saw one of the cats climbing up the entire wall of the catio.  He would escape out a non roof catio.   Boy are we getting mad looks!   A neighbor is going to come and hel***** fini**** tomorrow.

Not much else is happening here.  Just the usual stuff.

Everyone have a good week!
