Good afternoon Lisa and the rest of Illinois!

I am home from a short walk with Riley and a longer visit with our backyard neighbor.  Riley made her own lunch and is eating.  I am heading to the shower.  We may visit with a good friend this afternoon that I haven't seen for a year or so.  Good thing we keep in tough on Facebook!

David has my car for work so I can not make my usual noon meeting.  Maybe I will go later.  My IOP was better yesterday as the usual counselor was back and she seems very knowledgeable.  I will be going back tomorrow.

Today is a HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CONNIE!

Gotta get going!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good afternoon!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes here and on FB. My knitting friends had a surprise lunch for me yesterday (which Kay arranged) and then another friend is taking us out to dinner tonight. Since this is a big one, I'm enjoying it for all it's worth!

Kay turns 70 in June and since we have the same big birthdays we've made them special. When we turned 50 we had a "shower" for AIDS care network which was furnishing apartments in Rockford and people brought gently used and new kitchen and bath stuff. We filled up our van to the top with donations. For 60, we produced a concert with a Canadian folk singer we brought to town. We also learned that we are not in the business of producing concerts, but we had a good time. So we needed to do something BIG for 70. So this is not for Facebook comment yet, but we want to announce that we are in the process of buying a yarn store. It will be called "Knit One, Purl Two" and we hope to be open sometime in May. (This decision might not be much of a surprise to all of you who know how much I post about knitting) We are very excited and everyone we have told seems to be really excited for us. No one has said "aren't you to old to go into business?" yet. Even my kids are excited. So that's the news from here!!!

Connie,

That is pretty exciting news.....a business doing what you love is BIG. G, My hubby has his own business and he loves it. He does it part-time and he has a full-time job. His partner works full-time. They are inventors and LOVE it. G hopes some day to not have to work anymore and just invent all day. They mostly work on environmentally sound/green transporation.

Happy Birthday Dear one. BTW.........Love the name.

Hugs,

Sharon

Hi Dear Ones,

I am sorry for my absence. I have had a real issue getting onto OH at work. I am here 12 hours a day and by the time I get home, I am too pooped to pop. The last thing I think about is getting on a computer. On the weekends, I am playing catch up and trying to have a little fun. Please know I pray for you guys, miss you and still hope you think of me.

I have 2 employees who have been out of the office for 6+ weeks. One will hopefully be returning in May and the other one? Who knows? They have busy jobs and I have been doing them. One is ill indefinitely and the other has a family member who is ill. The prob? We are a very small office and to have 2 people out at the same time for so long is stressful and getting unmanageable. The trouble is, both have been with the company a combined total of 50 years!!!!! One gal started here when she was 17 and she is now 40. The other has been here over 30 years. The owners are reticent to make a decision. So am I.

I have been losing weight again. I am off the Effexor and feel better. I've lost 15 lbs and hope to lose 50 more. I would be happy losing 30 more.

I have tried to stay current with folks on FB. It is so good to see EVERYONE back on FB. I am fighting a bad cough and sore throat which has me dragging. WAAAA (I must stop complaining)

On the home front, we are getting ready to put up a privacy fence and re-do the yard for spring. I am excited about that. I really would love to get a pool, but the one I want is in-ground. I have heard you can get a fiberglass pool in-ground that isn't as pricy as the old cement in-ground pools. Does anyone have experience with this?

Oh, it's so good to be here.............

Enjoy this day (what's left of it) that the Lord has made.

Hugs,

Sharon
