R.O.D Hamburger Soup
1 lb. hamburger crumbled
1 small diced onion
1 stalk celery, diced small
S& P
Cook hamburger with the diced onion and celery. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Drain
Put in soup pot with the following;
1/2 to 1 cup diced carrots
1 small pepper (green or red) diced
1 Can diced tomatoes
1 Can black beans
1 c diced potatoes ( I used red and golden, it is what I had)
8 cups beef broth
Bring to boil and simmer until everything is cooked, about 20 to 30 min.
You can add rice or noodles if you want. I am adding some orzo to mine, since Hubert likes noodles of some sort in his soups.
Sounds and looks good. Looks healthy too.
