Sunday Roll Call

Happy Sunday! I am still living in the glow of the Women's Retreat I went to yesterday at First Baptist Church of Geneva. I go with my grown nieces. The speaker was Lysa TerKeurst of Proverbs 31 Ministries. What a great day of teaching and fellowship.

Been to the store to get my corned beef. WGN news mid day featured cook suggests buying a flat cut brisket as there is less fat. Getting that ready to put in the crock pot.

Good Morning, I put a corned beef in about 8:30 this morning. We are taking it down to Monica's as a surprise when they get home today.The carrots, celery and potatoes are in as well, and I will do the cabbage when we get there. I will put one on for us in the morning, before I leave for work.

WiFi update: It works on Hubert's iphone and ipad, doesn't on mine. But, when i am away from home, (like in the car) it works fine. I called our provider, and they are sending out a new box. We will see.

Hopefully, my cousin will get home today. She went in for her bypass on the 7th. Lots of complications. Now hoping for smooth sailing.

Hello everyone

I have the day to myself.  I have made a run to grocery store.  I did some cleaning up under the sinks and in the closet.  I am making myself a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch and then I will start on my resume.  I also have dinner for tomorrow planned and started.  I am making crockpot chicken noodle soup.  Then I will sit like a log and watch 3rd Rock From The Sun. 

Yesterday I went to my favorite Goodwill and I bought several tops and got Chris a pair of jeans. 

I am not looking forward to work tomorrow.  Ugh....I have a feeling it will be a long miserable week.

On the way home from Madison after a great knitting workshop. Lots of fun! Didn't buy a lot but just one project for Kay and a needle for me! Now I need a nap! LOL

Good Afternoon Everyone

It has been another busy week for me.  I woke up to snow again!  I swear I am going to go find that ground hog and strangle it!   Enough is enough!

Yesterday I vegged out.  Today has been busy.  Smudge has a cold and we took her to the vets.  He gave her lots of medicine and found a spot that looks like it could be ring worm.  Uh oh, I am hoping not as it is highly contagious!  I have never had to deal with that before.  I will be furious if she has it.  I sure hope not.  It can be nasty to fight.  And it can spread to the other cats.  Ugh!  She has finally gotten over her shyness and has just started playing with everyone.  Last night she and Buffy were having a ball.  

After we got home from the doctor, we headed out for grocery shopping.  They are remodeling the store.  They doubled its size and are redoing the entire inside of the store.  Every week, it is entirely different.  They are almost finished so it will be nice to shop and not have to wonder where things got moved to this week.  

I have to get my game plans organized for court this afternoon as well.  Not sure how to prepare but want to try to line up some facts.  That is Tuesday morning.  

Then it is back to work tomorrow morning.  I think I am setting the record of getting the dumbest callers.  How I get them all, I dont know.  My luck sure is rotten in that department.  

Nothing else is really new.  

Glad Jason is home.

Today Maddie had softball tryouts and then we had to go to Dekalb for her dance recital.  She did so good.  I'm hoping for a quick week.   I'm training 14 new people at work and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed!  Have a good week everyone.  No corn beef for us.  I hate it and I don't celebrate St.Pattys  day.
