Tuesday Roll Call
Off to see the work wizard shortly. This evening we are going to an informational forum regarding heroin in the suburbs. It is being sponsered by my PD, Hanover Park, Roselle and Bloomingdale PDs. If you know of anyone that would be interested in the subject matter the info is posted @ www.itasca.com on the home page. It is being held at the west campus for Lake Park HS in Roselle. This is free and you do not need to be a resident of these towns. This is a very timely forum in the fact the El Chapo dude was captured and indicted over the week-end and yesterday. Most people have their heads buried in the sand and do not even know that this is such an epidemic problem here and in the rest of the country. 
Heroin is cheap and highly addicting.
Yes, it is staying lighter in the early evening but it is also getting lighter in the morning. I do not need to carry my walking flashlight anymore. Most of the sidewalks are clear of snow and I do not have to walk in the street much anymore. I just have to watch for frozen melted snow on them in the morning.

PS, I forgot to mention that on the 11th I am having a varicose vein injected with a sclerosing solution. I have another one in the other leg that needs to be done but they only submitted paperwork for the right leg. The r leg is the worst especially with edema and cramping.

The weather people are not getting any more popular around here! I am going to Vegas for a couple of days late next week, can't wait to feel 60's or maybe 70s.
Oh, yes, the drug problem is so bad right now. Heroin really is the devil. I hope that there is a good attendance to the presentation.
Nothing new here, just work, work, work. My son's basketball season is over for the year so that makes the week's activities a bit lighter.

Yesterday as I was walking out the door, I got a call from my boss asking if I would cover a different site. N P. more milage
Today I am in Streator.
Last night, we worked on another puzzle, 1000 pieces. All different beer labels. It will take some time.
Joan, I love Vegas, we were there for our daughter Annette's theme wedding at TI. I will always go to Vegas! Where are you staying?
Chris, I use to teach a class of drugs for the Red Cross. Heroin is the worst.

Good afternoon friends,
We spent the weekend in Madison for our 28th anniversary and also got to hang out with our knitting friends in Verona. It was really fun. Today I had to go to the grocery store and then even made something for dinner. I'm not the cook in the family but once in a while I step up to the plate! (so to speak)
I heard an interesting program on NPR this morning about a woman who lost her entire memory in an accident. What a story! You can podcast it from the Diane Rehm show if you are interested.
I finished another shawl today with beads. It has a picot edge. Never again! But I will post a picture on Facebook after it is blocked!

Well it's not morning so Good evening to all! I had a good time over the week end with my daughter and grand daughter up at the O'hare Westin for the NRG Tour. I am tired from all the walking. I went shopping for baby clothes for the new baby to be, should be here by Mothers Day. I came back in more pain in the right leg and hip, and I have tried my best to hide it from the kids, I don't want them to baby me at all. I am here to take care of them and not have them taking care of me. I go next week to see what can be done. Not much but working going on in my part of Illinois!
